tomatoes in the veg room?

is there anything I should worry about while growing tomatoes in the veg area alongside my moms?

YES, at least from what I read somewhere. As plant deseases are prevelant in tomatoes and can be passed on to MJ.

Personally, I wouldn't take the risk. I'll do a Google and get back.

Ya, I found where I saw it.

As I remembered a virus you can give to your girls from tobacco, when smokers touch their plants, and giving them Tobacco Mosaic Virus Disease and also saw that there was a Tomato Mosaic Virus Disease that can also wipe out your crop.

So the moral of the story is:

If you're going to fondle your tomatoes, and have a smoke afterwards make sure you wash your hands real good, or you'll give your girls an STD (stinkin' tomato disease).

i've grown my plants outdoors for year and i'm still kicking and they are always spaced inbetween my matoes maybe its just me that cares for the plants i eat as well as i do for the plants i smoke as long as you keep your plants healthy and disease free compaion planting is the way to grow as the plants seem to form a symbiotic relationship with each other. also if anybody contracks the mosaic virus and says they lived from it there a liar as it is a deadly virus thats why pot a tobacoo is not grown togather but since as far as i know noone has ever died from smokeing pot not sure though if they died from the mosaic virus if they would consider that a pot related death also if just touching the tobacoo before you touch your weed is all it took to give your pot the mosaic virus there would be thousands if not millions dead from smokeing mixed joints or blunts first off your tobacoo would have to have the mosaic virus first off which is very hard to have in your tobacoo unless you grow it yourself as the tobacoo company's take a lil better care of there plants then that

Good point! Thanks Ice#1!!! I don't know that the mosaic virus is fatal to humans but it is not a good thing.

I found the information here about the mosaic virus interesting. I was always taught to never smoke near my plants and to wash before entering my grow room though.

Having said that, I have on many occassions, expecially as the year nears an end, to place some of my wifes houseplants, into the grow room for a spell, and have never had any ill effects....for whatever that's worth.
(Most of our houseplants spend the summer outside too)
I do gas em first, with high concentrations of co2.
