going into our 2nd grow, with trainwreck clones just noticed that three of them have buds their only three weeks old lights on 24/0 any ideas what caused this

Sounds like you have a few autoflowering plants. They will flower no matter what the light schedule.

I have never grown auto-flowers. But, isn't one of the issues people have is they are seed only - no clones?
What kind of light do you have?

rooted in rockwool in a aerogarden then moved to cups under t-5 72watt floros on 24/0and again these are trainwreck clones
