Default Stealth Method for Growing

Hello everrone,
I have been seeing cool ideas on how to grow indoors but for someone who will not be able to have a room dedicated to growing, what would be a small project to grow a small plant without the family in the other room noticing

what kind of seeds should I use?
should I get an air purifier to hide the smell?
can I grow in my closet?
what kind of yield would I get from such a plant?

thanks guys and gals and I really enjoy this place..mainly just

look at this thread if you a bit more advanced in growing http://www.greenpassion.org/diy/176-dwc-bubbler.html it is the setup of a DWC, here is also a smaller and cheaper version of that http://www.greenpassion.org/diy/2830...ld-1plant.html .

for you first grow go with soil - it is more forgiving then hydro growing. also as strain for a first grow i like to promoted the use of good old skunk #1 since the strain can take the worst abuse of all strains i know - but it stinks more too.

for the grow itself, here is a very sweet setup made by videoman http://www.greenpassion.org/indoor-g...ow-closet.html
and this you should read too http://www.greenpassion.org/indoor-g...-500-00-a.html

and besides: the FAQs hold tons of info too

look around in your place, every bulb you find that isn't wired to a dimmer switch you change to a CFL bulb, plug your stereo and tv set to a multiway connector with a switch so you can kill it after you done watching tv or play whatever. don't use your dryer so much, let it hang to dry - and if you have a beer fridge kick it out.
also keep in mind that you not going to grow all the time normally, so your bill will fluctuate naturally too

over the long that will save you even money if you not grow

Can anyone recomend a strain that will yield enough to make it worth it but will fit inside the model in that link

I was going to with skunk as someone suggested.

So would I leave the lights on durring the day and shut it off at night or leave it running all night? Either way thank you green nobody for the energy saving tips

skunk#1 or northern lights#1 would be good for a new grow - easy, skunk#1 is almost immortal.

the lights for veg you run 18h on and 6h off, if you use CFL/floros for that job keep em an single inch of the pants tips. also watch out to buy 6000-6500+K bulbs for that!!
for flower you switch bulbs, you need for that 2700K, and let it run for 12/12. that simple
