Default Starting Strains

I was wondering if anyone could suggest some good strains for a first time grower. I want something that isnt too difficult as I am still trying to learn...but I also want a decent size yield.

I started with some bag seeds to try and get the hang of it as well...but I want to order some strands to really get my grow on...

Any and all help is much appritiated...

I have also been looking at Attitude Seed bank, anyone had any problems?

Whammy, if this is about learning i would start with a indica dominated strain as indicas can take more abuse and stress then sativas and they don't grow too tall. Also it won't be too pissed if you miss a watering for a day as well.

In general good strains to start with are Skunk#1, Northern Light#1, Afghan and similar. they are either indica heavy or as Afghan almost 100% indica. Wit skunk you have to double check if smell is a problem in your grow, if so you will need a big carbon filter at least.

in terms of seed banks am i a nirvana fan, the Attitude Seed bank is sure a good looking place and the price/value ratio is good as well but i had no business with them nor do i know anyone that had any either. So, right now i'm still a bit skeptical - which doesn't mean that they can't be great - as i seen no feedback from anyone here i know long enough to be sure that it is not just someone from the shop spamming here, as this always a posibility as well.

So, with this shop i know i leave you in a good hands: Nirvana-Shop

Hey Whammy,

Check out this link. This seed bank was mentioned here just a few days ago and Fman has decided to try them out.

I think green nobody has set you up with excellent advise for a first grow! He is not a mod but he has lot's of experience and insight and I would defer to him about most growing issues. Afgani indica's yeah! short tolerant fast potent nice branch structure forgiving

One problem is with the new political climate Nirvana is no longer shipping to the U.S. There is also our sponser, Amsterdam seeds, just click the link above. I do not have any personal experiance with them. And as well many members have good things to say about High Grade Seeds,(HGS) which there is another thread for. I will look for the link and add it. I have ordered fromt them and have recieved fast, courteous service so far, but have just done this so really no growing experiance with them, although many that have, have positive things to say about them. Also check out the seedbank review for other members opinion on different sellers.

And good luck. Have fun!

Peace

I have to agree with lenny also, mazar is my strain of choice both for ease of growth and for quality...but I am always talking it up so I waited till someone else mentioned it. I like the fem seeds and they seem to yield better.
