First off, you should not feed plants in that soil mix. All of the nutrients are already in there so if you feed them, you will be double feeding them and that could kill them.

What I do is this:

Get a good quality professional soiless mix. Bergans is good. Check out what they have there. Try and get one with no fertilizer added to it. If it has compost added, that should be fine and is gentler than fertilizer on small plants.

You will also need to add 40% total of perlite to this mix. Some promix's have some perlite in them, so consider this when you add it. If there is some in the mix only add about 20 to 30% perlite and do NOT get Miricle Grow perlite as it has ferts added to it and it will burn your plants.

To this mix add aprox 1/4 cup bone meal, same of dolimite lime to the mix.PER GALLON OF SOIL. This mix will get you through vegging. Use this mix without the lime and bonemeal for seedlings and clones. I sometimes add some good quality compost to my veg soil. With this mix you can feed lightly your nutes, adding at first 1/4 of the reccommended dose of any nutrients, and increase it slowly. I usually just add some type of organic fish fertilizor. This gives them added nitrogen in veg.

This should get you started anyway.

Peace
