Rep Power: 99 | | Sitting in the grow room.
The grow Im doing right now is not my first, but Im now were near being anything but a novice. Id like to know how much time do you ( growing gurus) spend in your grow room? I find myself just sitting in my room watching my 8 little plants grow. I realize there is real gardening that needs to be done, but I know Im spending too much time there. How about you how much time do you spend with your plants?

Sounds like you are more of a "gardener" than "farmer" meaning you are more interested in the plants and their growth than the end product as a commodity...speaking for myself I have spent plenty of time at peace in the garden (sort of a biblical metaphore eh?)...I suspect many others do the same

I stare at mine a good bit too. It's kind of like when I first got a roomba. I spent more time watching it go about the room then it would have taken to just vacuum myself.

Scott ,Interesting you use the word "biblical". I used to know a commiceral grower ( 3 12x12 rooms, wall to wall plants) that once told me growing was a religion. Glad to see Im not the only one watching their plants grow. Dont get me wrong this is a money thing, I just cant afford to buy my medicine at a clinic any more.

Fman,
What a good question. When I am with my outdoor plants, I find the hours I spend, are very spiritually uplifting and very enjoyable. I guess the anticipation of the flowers arriving is the motivation, and the first deep breath of the fall aromas. The indoor grows are pretty much all business, I check the room twice a day and water/fert as needed. I do get stoned to the be-Jesus once in a while, and just stair and observe growth and stuff.

Hey... When I had a veggie garden a bunch of years ago, I spent a lot of time in it, playing in the dirt, escaping the craziness of the house. All that time paid off. I had a huge harvest with more veggies than we could've eaten in a year. We ended up giving quite a bit away. I will probably spend "too much" of my free time in it.
Right now, I poke my head in the closet at least 6 times a day. It could be my imagination, but I notice the little changes in my babies every time I do.
BTW -- isn't spending all that time in the grow room good for the kids? I mean, the Co2 that you're adding?

Nothing like catching a good buzz and glaring at the ladies during all stages of growth
I like cloning the best(you get to start all over again) It's like playing god I chose which ones will live on.

Damn Dude! I never knew my wife had another...sister! That is exactly what my wife says...
I spend MUCHO time with my kids, although right now they are all in flower so we can't chat for as many hours each day, but I enjoy just sitting out in the rooms and enjoying the ambiance...often bringing a good book out with me, enjoying a fat bowl (or 4), and spending a few hrs. out there. I think Moby Dick was a bit "deep" for the gals, but they seemed to like Tom Clancy stuff..

I am in my grow/flower area every chance I get. It is a spiritual thing. Even with my outdoor "regular" flower garden. I can be in the dirt, weeding in the hot sun, and enjoy it. All my plants get much love and attention. But, the "secret garden" gets somewhat more.
