Default should they stay or should they go?

alright everyone, i have two really small branches at the bottom of the plant. they each have maybe 10 pistils each. this being almost halfway through week 5 of flowering, should i just cut em off? they haven't really grown at all thus far so im figuring i can just get em outta there and let the plant use that energy on the top buds. sound like the right idea? or should i let em grow into little popcorn buds?

always a delima stentra....I think it comes down to personal preference....I tend to pick off the bottom buds as just to "check" the progress....but I leave the branch and any sun leaves....I guess I figure any hard prunning is a shock to the plant already in flower, so any gain from loosing the branches is balanced by the plants energy loss needed to repair and heal. I have never done an actual test on this but that's my thinking and experience with this issue.

i guess i could try this with the smaller of the two. i dont know how much it would do considering the lack of light and so on. it would be nice to get a buzz off my own progress while i wait though.

I usually wait till about day 10, then do my final pruning. I take most all those little branches off, as I dearly hate to trim a bunch of peckerdent buds! Little things just make a mess of my fingers and wind up about a pinhead in size after drying.

T'were mine..I would hack 'em...

You will find a lot of them just dry up the closer it gets, so I just cut them off. up to you though.

you don't think it'll do any harm 5 weeks into flowering? the last thing i want is to slow the growth of the good stuff just trying to get rid of the scraps.

You seem to have more wiggle room outside, not sure why, maybe more time with sun.

If you can lower the hieght of the plant, to make those low ones get equal light, you could still get good buds. In my LST thread I am opening up my plants, at this stage even, to get more light on the inside buds. Even though those bigger buds might be done on such and such a day, does not mean you cannot keep her flowering only lower the light to reach them, and give the small ones thier time to fill in and rippen. You can harvest one bud and it will be ready 3 weeks before the last ones, so it truely is up to you.

P.S. but there are some you just shouldn't bother with and it will become apparent as you go. The will just dry up and yeild nothing.

Hey sentravapor, Yes it would stress the plant and stress can cause alot of things to happen. One being slow of growth.Sometimes the plant will use up one of the elements it needs to finish just to heal it's self.Like Iso said the last 10 to 14 days to harvest.I feed them two days or so before removing the lower branches and after 7 days flush them out and wait to harvest in a few days. That help any? Peace
