Rep Power: 105 | | Rubbermaid grow box - Eeek wiring??
LOVE the grow box and can't wait to set up my own. I have a problem though. I'm not very good at wiring and electricuted my industrial arts teacher on a couple of occasions. I don't have very good luck of putting the end socket plug on. I'm always touching the wrong wire and blow out the power. I don't know how good the wiring is in this place and really don't want to do something that will draw attention.
Is there a lighting system that anyone knows of that is already put together? I can redo the harness so it will fit in the box.
If I ask my hubby to do it he will tell me no. Whereas if I already have it setup he will go along with it. lol

Okay, first off, can you post pics if you have them? I did a lot of my light wiring before my man took over as he was nervous I would kill myself! LOL! Just tell me what you are doing and I can help you.
Black to black white to white etc. and use wire nuts. I use electrical tape but that is not apparently as secure as wire nuts. LOTS of good electrical people here to help you but we need pics. Have you decided on which type of lights yet or is this also a problem? Post which box you are working on, if you have a thread you are following. Give us as much info as possible and we can help you sweetie.
SO nice to have you here!
Peace.

Thank you for the info about the wire tape compared to the wire nuts. I am going to follow smokedoja's instructions on the stealth grow box. DIY stealth Rubbermaid growbox
The only change I think I'll make it putting the lights on a chain pully hooked to the outside top of the lid that I can then control the lighting better.
I'm using this exact lighting system from the instructions
3.Two 3socket 18" light fixtures from lowes (item#122251.ask em)
4.Two 26 watt 3packs of GE CFL bulbs
No pictures yet, still drafting for one more day.
Thank you for all your help. =)

Wiring is a piece of cake, just respect the voltage... Besides Voltage dosnt kill ya, it's the Amp's...LoL
Ask away, like Jangle said, white-white, black-black.
