Default Reusing Soil?

I didn't know where to post this thread so I put it here. I've heard many different viewpoints on reusing potting soil. Some say not to because bad things can buildup, but I've heard others say it's okay because beneficial micro organisms that help roots uptake nutes buildup. I can see the reasoning on both theories, but never having reused soil myself I don't know first hand if there are any drawbacks. Has anyone reused their soil, and if you have did you notice any difference in growth?

stoney-trees is on a distinguished road
Default

I re use my promix soil.

After harvest I lay it out on a tarp, get out as many roots as I can. I let it dry out completly also. After that I mix in some soil lime at 1 tablespoon per gallon. Bag it up till I need it.

Or you could let the roots in it, put in inside a bin, and have a little compost pile. Just add in some regular compost additives and use it the next grow.

I dont advise reusing soil that had chemicals go through. Salt buildup is bound to happen sooner or later, and running thw wrong ph water through to drain it out will effect soil ph alot.
