Try Hidhut, our sponser. I got mine at my local hydro store. I know even the ones that home depot sell for things like lights and appliances work well.

For the timer, it is very tough to beat this:

Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices

That same timer runs you $24.00 at the hydro store..

For lights as Jangel suggested, try HidHut, and if not there I would look at High Tech Garden.

If you do go digital I would make sure it has a battery backup. If it dosn't I would assume if the power go's out then you have to reset everything like an radio alarm clock. I still go with the analog dial style timer from home depot for like $6 and if the powers go out for just a few minutes, the timer just kicks back to where it left off..

Just a thought.

Peace,

Sock

pretty much every digital has this feature today, even my cheap 4 buck model has it, according to specs it will run for about 100 days without power and it actually seems to do so

to me it is more important that these digital models have no ware 'n' tear to endure as mechanical timers that failed on me more then once. and since the back up feature is common today the are the best choice in my view.

Yeah, live and learn.
We have a bunch of thrifty shoppers here, they know when and where to cut corners, and they know where to not cut corners too.
Peace
