Default Phenotypes for Indoor growing?

I want to purchase the Purple Wreck from Nirvana seeds but i have been told that the phenotypes in the plant to make it purple can only be brought out when grown outside. But i was wondering if anyone has grown a purple strain inside and gotten to see the purple color, or if you have any suggestions for temperature in my grow box for it.Thanks.Peace.

I've grown a number or purple strains indoors, and found like others have if you get the temp way down in the 12 hr. night period they will fade to the purple. Last winter I had days where the temp in my flower room got down to 50 before I got the heater fired up, but kept it in the low 50's. Buds came out nice and colorful.

yep, need to bring down the nighttime temp... i think its not only the cold but the oscillation between cold and hot.
try it, no harm unless you stick em in the fridge.. hehehe

From what I have read it is in the fall, when the night time temps can fall that the colour comes out. Don't worry about it till it is flowering, and if you can't give them the cold, also, no worries. Just because it CAN go purple does not mean it HAS TO. And it just might on it's own.

Peace

I had some plants turn color indoors...but they were flowering indoor in the basement in winter...so the temp can get pretty cold...one suggestion is planning flower for the coldest indoor temps so for me December and February are great...not much help now I realize, but perhaps a future grow
