its not hard to do, just get a bucket, or save old gallon milk jugs, and fill them with water, leave uncapped for a day or two, and its all good. You could even use an air stone in a bucket of water to help evaporate the chlorine faster. I've only used tap water, sometimes without letting it sit and haven't noticed any significant problems with it. Another choice you could do is getting one of those water filters that screw on to the faucet, that should work somewhat for the chlorine and also reduce the ppm.
