Default Need help with Light found in my area

Has Anyone ever used this or tried to convert to remote ballast. This Is at my local lowes not many grow shops around here and i need MH so i thought this would work please let me know what you think

It will Arrive in store on or before November 28, 2009 at least in my area not sure if these are new new

I think those things hum really loud though, not sure about new models but I know the old ones did. I would be concerned about the noise for myself.

not to say this means anothing but a friend converted one of them he got for free into a nice MH light for his fish tank.

b4 u buy one at HD or lowes try Craigslist.....in my area several warehouses were selling their stock of these lights as they were renovating. CHEAP!!!!

i have some older models like that, and they do hum pretty loud. i am trying to see if i can convert mine to HPS. But if not, i will just use what i have.
Another thing that i did is cut the round reflector in half, because u do not want the light stright on top of the plant, there is a no light zone right on the bottom of the bulb and u will still get all of the heat. u want the lamp turned on its side because u want the light to get to the plant, not just the heat.
