Been hearing and seeing in threads about using Molasses blended with the nutes in the flowering stage.
Can anyone tell me how much of what kind of molasses? I have my first grow in flower (starting 3rd week) and want to do all I can to make it sweet bud.

Hey iso,I read a thread on using molasses by the three brids on another site.If you are growing in soil,ok not in hydro. The kind of molasses you want is back strap or unsulphured molasses. Those are the only two you want to use. It's one table spoon per gal of water.I used it when I growth in soil.It will mix alot easyer if you heat up the water first. Now here's something to think about,It is sweet and if you have any kind of insect problems I wouldnt use it.Ants love sweet stuff and most bugs too.I like the carbo load from AN for my hydro grow,it mixs better in hydro and dosent clod up the hydro misters. It dosent make the bud sweet it give the plant carbohydrates that it needs in flowering, the plant uses up carbohydrates in flowing and molasses, carbo load puts back carbs for her to use in flowering and puts on weight.Helps her grow bigger buds.Hope that helps. PEACE

Yup
I seen that same thread on the other site Toke.
I have used it and it does work well in soil.
Make sure you still flush on a regular basis though.
If you have not lately you may want to before you use the molasses.
The molasses on top of the salt build up will make your soil gummy and make it harder for the plant to take up nutes.

Thanks all. I've got the Molasses on the shopping list next time my wife or I go to town (35 miles each way) This brings up yet another newbie question...FLUSHING?
I always do, cause if I don't the wifey gets pissy about it.. (but I am trained to lift the lid and put it back down..it's that flushing thing I always forget (whose got time to wait?)
OK, so how do I flush them? Never done it, and a couple of these plants just don't take their water...it takes them 3 times as long to inhale the same amount as others do in a 2 days.

| Well then I guess the Mr is a real man!! I've been trying for 8 years to get him to put the damn seat down!!
On a lighter note...molasses is also great for your microherd in the soil. I know I'll be using it.
