I have two questions in regards too light set-ups. I have a 3 and a half by 5 and a half by 10 foot area to work with. I was wanna try to keep it simple and energy efficient as possible. What would be the best type of light and what wattage should I get? Also how much of a increase should I expect on my electric bill? Thanks!

is ten ft the heigth? if so you could probably get away with 600w of light plus another 200-400w of fans and what not. which equals 1kw for easy math. if you are flowering then you are using your light 12 hrs a day 12hrsx1 kw) will give you your kwhrs per day if you are vegging multiply by 18 instead of 12. If you look at your last electricity bill there will be a rate listed on it is in kwh multiply this by your 12kwh and 30 days in the month and this is how much your bill will go up. check out the faq's they can answer most of your ques

My closet is 2ft x 3ft x by 5ft high. I'm using a 400WHPS and on 12/12 my lite bill increased about 35 bucks a month- but in summer my A/C had to run 24/7 to keep temps down and that costed more than the lites, i live in a mobile home, a hot tin box!
