Can i use HPS lighting for all my stages of growth i am going to be growing 6 plants in a grow closet with dimensions 56x56x78. I'm not sure which strength to go with, the home box i bought says it can support a 1000w light fixture. So should i use a 1000w HPS lighting or jump down to 600W for my seeds and vegging, then bring it up to 1000W for flowering? Thanks.Peace.

you can use a HPS all the way through if you want. i use a MH conversion bulb for veg, sometimes CFL. for that space 600w or even 400w would work, being its only going to be 5-6 feet from the ground. make sure you get good fans and keep that temperature down. personally i would get a 600w HPS in a cooltube, and some 6" duct fans for exhaust in that HomeBox. good luck!

Good sold advise Dieabetic,More light more yield. You will have to air cool any HID lights no matter what watts it be.I would get a digital ballast.I run both Mh for veg& HPS for flowering with same ballast. The conversion blubs cost more. Peace
