Default light requirements for my grow box?

just putting the finishing touches on my growbox...its 4'h x 3'w x 4'L,made out of WOOD(osb board and 2x2's).i live in a condo and am concerned about heat accumulation and fire risk.would 2x250w cfl's do as good a job as a 400w hps in a space that size?are the buds from cfls any good,as in get ya blasted in the pocket kinda rocket weed?never used them b4 and i'm turned on by the reduction in heat, plus no ballast noise...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Ps,just got my card from HC,good for 10 plants

with your height restriction you probably cant get away with a hps unless you are going to do a sog with lots of little plants. I dont think the high wattage cfl arrays are worth the money because they are too hot to put right on your plants like you need to do with cfls. You can rig up about 20 of the 23 watt cfls with bathroom fixtures and y connectors, or you can buy some t5 fixtures( kinda pricey, but nice)

Have you thought about t5ho lights??? put along top and sides??just something to think about?? dont take up much room and produce hardly any heat??they would be real easy to kool.I have 8 23 watt cfls in a 2ft.by2ft.by5ft.spot and yesterday my temps were like 87 in there.I just added 3more 23watters on saturday ,before then I had 5 23watters and temps were a steady 76,now since I added 3 more cfls the heat is out of control.not to mention everyday I check on them and their are always burt tips of leaves. My lights are about 1and a half inches from tops of plants.im getting ready to put a 250 hps in same spot and hope temps cal down ???here yesterday temps were unusally high for this time of year.

Default heat problems?

i have a 4' intake on the front bottom and a 4' exhaust on the top right in the back....runs continually and keeps it VERY cool in there.i turn it off for a minute and it climbs 10 degrees at least, cost 60$ for both fans, well worth it.
