Default leaf color change in flowering NL #5

Hi all,

I've got some northern lights #5 in week 7 of flowering. Some of the hairs are starting to turn and it seems like the trics are mostly cloudy. Shouldn't be long before harvest I hope. Does the darker color on the leafs look normal?

TIA,
R

Doesn't appear at all unusual to me Ron. I see that on almost all plants when they are getting near harvest, especially on the sugar leaves and upper fan leaves.

Might be some heat stress, but at this stage the rest of the buds look great and I would not be too concerned over it, and you've only got 10 days or so to go till harvest...

Others may have different thoughts...me, I wouldn't be too worried.

Thanks ISO. I kinda figured it was just the plant ripening but just wanted to be sure. The temps have been lower lately so I don't think it is heat stress.

peace,
R

looks pretty normal as they are in the last phase of flower now, wouldn't worry - as soon as you flush em they will even start to turn yellow all over but still drive on for a few more days. looking great by the way

I'm doing a soil grow so I don't think flushing will cause yellowing that quickly but I may be wrong. I would think the soil buffers the nutrients I've fed and also supplies a lot of it's own. I plan on doing a water cure so final flushing isn't as important (at least from what I read).

peace,
R

looking real good! just let them do there thing. that yellowing is the plant taking up all nitrogen, thats what you want late in flowering so you can have clean smoke. If you have lots of nitrogen your smoke will be harsh and not so tasty. Great job on the grow!
