Default late start & stem bending

late start
i started late due to building work ,i have put the plants (frisian dew)in huge tubs, and are out side.my thinking in this is to bring inside if needed at the end of the season to finish the flowering process ,last year the hole lot was almost lost due to mould, and had to harvest a bit early but was OK in the end,i can not have them in house as wife will not have it and young kids(i think i can get round her at the end the season)i am in the uk and the weather has been shit so far .so i think this a good plan what do my fellow brothers in green think.
stem bending
stem bending as i have keep the plants under 6.5 feet ,i would rather bend stem than ,pinch off the top bud ,a mate says you can bend a stem but i am not so sure how to do it?
thanks

Hi there One Toke, nice to meet you. Please take a wonder over to the introduce yourself thread and tell us a bit about yourself. Lots of people would love to say Hi and welcome you aboard.

As far as your question. Here is a link to Low Stress Training thread.
http://www.greenpassion.org/f46/low-...-wieghts-5995/

Lots of info in there on LST'ing, (bending plant stems as you call it) supercropping, and many other ways of lowering your plant hieght. Love to see more of your girls. Any other questions, just post them and someone will chime in.

Peace

holly molly! okay, first i hope that all your neighbors are blind as a mole! guess it is in flower already or not? 6ft plant inside... bend every branch down and get it its own CFL, you will need at least 2 separate HID lights, one on each side...

if it isn't flowering yet i would cut clones and grow these insides for additional bud and spread and bend the big lady down and create with clear foil a shelter to grow - could be the cheap and easy thing to do with her

thats a hell of a tree my friend. i'd go with green's idea of taking some clones as well as bending some of those limbs down. LST is very easy once you do it once or twice you pretty much know how to judge what your doing before you make mistakes. I myself am on a first grow and took a shot with one of my plants, and it came out looking great after only a few days. sadly the plant ended up being male so i retired that venture for now but heck you look like you have plenty more experience than i do so i dont think you'll have a problem tackling this one. good luck and have fun

NOW THAT'S A TREE OF LIFE FOR YA.
I caught that the pic is from last year,
What you can do is pinch the stem you want to bend(no finger nails)just to the crush point and it will bend
Hope this helps
Peace

Okay, I have a program I use which came with my camera. I will wait for someone else to advise you here. I know there is a way you can reduce them using a windows program but I have never done that so can't help ya.

Great plants! Is the plastic over the plant to keep it dry or make it warmer? Just curious. I am in Canada and we have had sooooo much rain this year, I am wondering if that is why my plants are slow to flower. Your girl from last year is beautiful~! My phone line has been down all day, damn it, and just got back up.

Nice to meet you and great to see your girls!

Peace

hi j-angel
i think i panicked early with the photo that was 2 week a go it has now reached the roof made up from green house shade its a mesh with hole about 4/6 mm the thinking behind is
1 to protect when small from heavy rain (and big so it turns out)
2 to remind me to not let it get to high
3 and the canes frame work was for camouflage peas/corn/jasmine(smell)but that bid not work to well they peas /corn are dead
4 mr nervous i have a lot of helicopters flying over
chat later
otb
