Hey buddy..... I assume you are talking about
this thread of mine, and I do try to be pretty specific with amounts, maybe you should re-read it?
The perlite I like to mix in, as I am filling my pots, I use 2 gallon pots, and use about 2-3 handfuls per pot.
Scott is right on the money, growing is alot like cooking but the difference between cooking and baking is huge.
Cooking you grab a handful of this, and a pinch of that, whereas with baking, it is more precise and you have to follow the recipe exactly.
Growing is exactly like that, with the perlite, more is better for a safe rule of thumb, as it offers no nutrients at all, it just helps build a better root system by airating the soil. So you cant hurt the babies by having a little too much perlite.
So far as the rest of the recipe goes, as I said re-read it, and you'll see it explain to use the hydronex potting soil with "Miracle Grow's organic choice" at a two to one ratio, meaning two cups of the hydronex and one cup of the miracle grow.
Add a couple handfuls of the bone meal or bat guano or both and mix well.
One of the benefits using this organic recipe, us it is hard to over feed em.
Once the soil is mixed, all you have to do is water em properly.
A normal healthy plant will only uptake what it needs.
Peace
