Default drying buds

i havested my mazar 1 week ago. its been hanging in my bathroom since. the bathroom is cool and humidity is low.

my buds are very dry to touch but the stems do not snap they just bend.
im worried that if i wait for the stems to 'snap' the bud will be too dry?

shall i wait a bit longer or should i start to cure?

peace

if you air dry thuroughly... by the time the inside of the bud is the proper dryness, the outside is way overly dry. Thats why after about 7 days you start to cure. throw the buds in a jar or bag loosely and keep it shut all day, when you open it up, the moisture will be dispersed throughout the buds, then you leave it open for a few hours to dry out, and close again for slightly less time and repeat.

Hobo,

I am using the canning jars to store and cure my smoke...any issues you know of in storing it in them once cured?

Btw, you said leave open for a few hours...I guess I need to leave mine open to the air longer than the 1/2 hr. I have been! :Embarrassment:

technically you can let it slow cure for months, the longer you leave it open the faster the cure will go by. If you slowly allow the moisture and chlorophyll to seep out however, by say leaving it closed for several days, and opening for a few minutes, it could make for a more enjoyable smoke. as long as you dont let mold build up. And yea jars are a great way to store bud. Your sort of extending the curing by storing it like that.

Dark
Just under room temperature.
Should not get over 70 def F.

Like Hobo said the more time you take with the cure the better the smoke and high will be.

Keep an eye on those dense colas. Mold can destroy you're hard work very quickly. Good luck
