I'm not sure if that would affect the clone or not, I've never done that. Are all the clones from the same genetics, or are they different plants? Genetics has some to do with how fast and how well the clones do. Also, I wouldn't use the powder anymore. I've found the powder to be a little unreliable. Try some gel, I use clonex myself but there are other brands that work well. Also, I water my clones and spray them with some regular water that has a couple drops of superthrive in it, it helps reduce the stress to the plant. One more thing to consider doing would be cutting all the fan leaves in half. Look at your hand like its a pot leaf then picture cutting off all the fingers between the first and second knuckle, that's what the pot leaves should look like if you do this. It helps to stimulate root growth by taking away the need to produce food to feed those leaves. I do all of this with my clones and so far have had 100% success.

Be careful not to over water them too, should be wet, but not soggy. Dome should be on and you should see water collecting on the inside. They should be under some regular flouro's optimally. There are many schools of thought on clones and cloning but this stuff has worked very well for me.

I like to make the 45degree cut under water and I use rootech gel. I just did what you did to mine and they rooted after 7-8 days and some that were only showing bumps I put in the dirt. I thought I would see if they would still root without bumps so I wrote that on the cups too. I use the superthrive too to help with the stress. ATM 2 look really good but they didn't have roots, and the others are wilted but should bounce back I think. I also set them on a heating pad too so I hope that helps too. I will be keeping track of these in my grow journal on my sig if you wanna watch. Good luck with yours!!

im not sure either. i dont like to mess with clones once 'in place'. but sisnse ive cloned directly in soil i wouldnt put it past them if they survived anyway.

the trick is not to let the stem dry out or the water uptake to the food factories(leaves) will stop and never start again. if you took care that that didnt happen you should be fine.

i was meaning when you up rooted them. the stem should never dry out at this stage or it wall draw up air through the food vessels.
