Default buckets

In the newest High Times there was an article titled "Buckets of Buds". They didn't mention anything about putting holes in the buckets. Do you have to?

If your talking about growing in soil/dirt, yes you do need holes for water drainage..

If you're talking about hempy buckets, I've never seen an example without them, they are the magic ingredient.

That's what I thought. Just making sure, thanks! I was questioning it because in the pictures there aren't any pans/trays under the buckets. Holes make sense.
