I have Fibro and degenerative disk disease.. If you haven't already, I hope you try for the disability again,, With this Fibro you have many more bad days then good. You also need to have medical care and the only way to get it is through disability, unless your wealthy enough to be able to afford it.. I am sorry you had a rough year of it, I pray your world is much calmer and easier for you the years to come... | hi girl! Yeah, I have the disk thing too, in my lower and cervical spinal cord, both types of arthritis throughout my body. I am back on my feet after a year on the couch from a desert recluse spider that got in my shoe and bite my 11 times b4 i new he was in there! You can't feel the actual sting, so he really got me!
I'm back on my feet now, but it has been bullying and threats from patients and loss of harvests because of thieves in the night that has really made it so tough.
Most of the patients i was trying to help just wanted to get the most out of me they could anyway they could, with a complete disregard for my well being! And they demanded that i give it to them NOW, not caring about my safety or comfort at all. If i didn't answer the phone and let them come immediately, whatever time it was, they just would keep blowing up my phone until i answered. Sometimes, i would be away from my phone for 5 minutes and come back and some clown has 7 missed calls on my phone. I live alone. I didn't want to open my gate after dark. They would show up anyway, honk their horns and get out of the car and yell and scream. I really need the cops to see this crap, right?
They would trick me and try to "play" me deliberately trying to cheat me. It is "acceptable" to them as they are used to playing these games with "dealers" who are criminals who most often deal in other illegal drugs as well and have no integrity. It put me in real danger!
The local law enforcement supports me. And I want to make sure that they continue to do so and therefore I cannot afford to have "patients" outside my property yelling and honking their horns! Can you even imagine people behaving like that? They acted like they owned me because they gave me money. Even on easter Sunday, when i was studying scripture, they wouldn't leave me alone. A car was parked out in front of my house, no appointment, (I said, never come without an appointment) and yelled and honked for hours. I hid from my front window!
The guys do deliveries now, and hopefully very soon, we will be meeting with patients at the collective in Riverside where they have armed guards and steel bars instead of a girl alone, unprotected and defenseless. I had patients threaten to kill me and beat up my partners for not letting them in after dark when i was alone. The just did everything they could to exploit and take advantage of me. It was horrible and terrifying! And all I was doing was trying to help them. Everything went downhill from there and now we are really struggling. But, we are going to make it. And it will be wonderful because nothing can stop us. We are smart and strong and we believe in what we are doing and we will not let the thugs in the world to stop us from making our dreams come true. Watch me! I am stubborn and strong and we will prevail in spite of the evil doers!
thanks for caring and responding
sorry to hear you have fibro too
a companion for life
but i do believe that the challenges it brings me has made me stronger and more resourceful and is in my life to inspire me to become what i need to become. In spite of this chronic illness, I am stronger, more productive and happier than most folks my age.
The challenges are real and they are tough, but they are not tougher than we are. They only make us stronger and more determined to succeed. And succeed we will!

no, I haven't gotten it yet. No health insurance and no money to pay for doctor visits. I hate doctors and their poisens anyway. But, I applied 4 years ago and when i finally do get it, I will get back pay from the state and my retirement from the school district will double and I will get back pay from them as well! It's just a matter of a doctor having the balls to stand up to whatever organization they work for and process my paperwork! The doctors I saw never said i didn't deserve it and couldn't look me in the eye while they were refusing me. They said their department head didn't approve the request, or get this, their staff didn't have the time to process the paperwork, or they didn't know my case well enough... bla bla bla bottom line is... they were a bunch of cowards and they knew they were doing the wrong thing. it was obvious in their entire demeaner. my life/their career they choose their career. i am on my own for my life. health care my ass.. health i don't give a crap is more like it, imo.

Here goes
I have fibromyalgia. a neurlogical disease. Chronic pain mental and physical fatugue, depression, rhumatiod and osteo arthritis. every step i take is painful and no position or bed or chair can provide escape from the pain even with medication. the doctors do not no what causes it and there is no cure. i have been given narcotics and steriods and other drugs that have made me severly ill.
i became too ill to work after 20 years in the public school system five years ago and no doctor will sign disability paperwork for me so i have been denied and have been to doctor after doctor and none will support my claim. i had no health insurance and no income. escept for a very small pension that doesn't cover the cost of a premium.
Three years ago my daughter convinced me to try weed. i hadn't smoked since i got pregnant with her 34 years ago. I was afraid of it so it took her a long time to convince me to try it.
I was so amazed to be pain free for the first time in many many years and i was hooked. since i had no money to buy it i literally begged everyone in my life to buy it for me constantly!!
So, I grew three big plants in buckets in the backyard and posted them at riu. Those 3 didn't last too long, but man finally having "enough" for the first time in my life, saved my life.
The following spring i gathered up all of our old styrofoam cups and an old bag of potting soil and planted the seeds i had saved from the "good" weed. bagseed.
I posted them at rip.
then one day, this guy im'd me saying he thinks we might be able to help each other out. I met him first in a little coffee shop around the corner and ill never forget the day i watched him walk through the door of that place. so shy, so sweet. i adored him and trusted him right away.
Very quickly i had him come to the house instead of meeting at the resturant and when he showed up the first time he had soil and shovel in hand to plant my girls in the ground for me. i have never asked him for help, yet he has done everything out there almost. I have a patient helper that helped him build the room and he helps take care of the plants. i am not physically able to do so.
Its a good thing he is here because last July I was bitten by a brown recluse spider and have not been able to be on my feet hardly at all since then.
He is my best friend and the best business partner a girl could ever dream to have. He knows me and he is the wind beneath my wings desiring nothing less than to give me a voice.
We have merged from Loving Herbs to Loving Herbs in the Hi-Dez. He is relocated to this area and we are building this compassion center together.
Some of the services we provide are:
Safe and affordable access to high quality meds
Delivery
Garden set up
Rides to the doc
Doctor referrals
Legal referrals
Temporary housing for patients from a state that is not legal and they want to re-locate to cali. A kind of halfway house for sick folks that need meds
We will have indoor and outdoor bud growing according to the seasons, but it will be continuous and perpetual.
I also grow other medicinal plants and herbs and spices and fruits and vegatables. they are available according to their season.
We have a little family of patients that we care for up here and plan on reaching out to many more. Sick folks don't have a lot of money and traveling down the hill to LA or Hollywood to BUY meds from a cold impersonal way too expensive store front is not reasonable for them.
I am a caregiver and healer. it is in my blood. He is also. We have teamed up to do good and help folks, so that is what we do... | | | The Following 4 Users Say Thank You to John WH For This Useful Post: | |
