Rep Power: 197 | | What we are doing?
I have been asked this question several times lately, by several different people online, so when i answered the last time, i copied it so I could post it here.
Here goes
I have fibromyalgia. a neurlogical disease. Chronic pain mental and physical fatugue, depression, rhumatiod and osteo arthritis. every step i take is painful and no position or bed or chair can provide escape from the pain even with medication. the doctors do not no what causes it and there is no cure. i have been given narcotics and steriods and other drugs that have made me severly ill.
i became too ill to work after 20 years in the public school system five years ago and no doctor will sign disability paperwork for me so i have been denied and have been to doctor after doctor and none will support my claim. i had no health insurance and no income. escept for a very small pension that doesn't cover the cost of a premium.
Three years ago my daughter convinced me to try weed. i hadn't smoked since i got pregnant with her 34 years ago. I was afraid of it so it took her a long time to convince me to try it.
I was so amazed to be pain free for the first time in many many years and i was hooked. since i had no money to buy it i literally begged everyone in my life to buy it for me constantly!!
So, I grew three big plants in buckets in the backyard and posted them at riu. Those 3 didn't last too long, but man finally having "enough" for the first time in my life, saved my life.
The following spring i gathered up all of our old styrofoam cups and an old bag of potting soil and planted the seeds i had saved from the "good" weed. bagseed.
I posted them at rip.
then one day, this guy im'd me saying he thinks we might be able to help each other out. I met him first in a little coffee shop around the corner and ill never forget the day i watched him walk through the door of that place. so shy, so sweet. i adored him and trusted him right away.
Very quickly i had him come to the house instead of meeting at the resturant and when he showed up the first time he had soil and shovel in hand to plant my girls in the ground for me. i have never asked him for help, yet he has done everything out there almost. I have a patient helper that helped him build the room and he helps take care of the plants. i am not physically able to do so.
Its a good thing he is here because last July I was bitten by a brown recluse spider and have not been able to be on my feet hardly at all since then.
He is my best friend and the best business partner a girl could ever dream to have. He knows me and he is the wind beneath my wings desiring nothing less than to give me a voice.
We have merged from Loving Herbs to Loving Herbs in the Hi-Dez. He is relocated to this area and we are building this compassion center together.
Some of the services we provide are:
Safe and affordable access to high quality meds
Delivery
Garden set up
Rides to the doc
Doctor referrals
Legal referrals
Temporary housing for patients from a state that is not legal and they want to re-locate to cali. A kind of halfway house for sick folks that need meds
We will have indoor and outdoor bud growing according to the seasons, but it will be continuous and perpetual.
I also grow other medicinal plants and herbs and spices and fruits and vegatables. they are available according to their season.
We have a little family of patients that we care for up here and plan on reaching out to many more. Sick folks don't have a lot of money and traveling down the hill to LA or Hollywood to BUY meds from a cold impersonal way too expensive store front is not reasonable for them.
I am a caregiver and healer. it is in my blood. He is also. We have teamed up to do good and help folks, so that is what we do...

Your Karma is your blessing!!!

I think these 2 are the closest that this hellhound will ever get to meeting angels.
They are some of the kindest people Ive ran across and have treated me with nothing but friendship despite a generation of age difference between us....

Truly, with tears in my eyes, all I can say is.
I have been accused of being many things..
This may be the highest compliment I have ever received...
It would be impossible for me to live up to your beautiful vision.. All I can do is wake up every morning and do the best I can. I hope when I fall short, you will understand and forgive me.
As for the other half of the team. I don't think he'll have any problems living up to your opinion of him...
Peace and Love

no need for tears gal.
Ive met kind people in my life by all means, but you two take that prize hands down. No one else have I ever heard of, wish to take in people that they do not know and give them enough trust to try and help them up in their place in the world with some opportunity.
Ive sat here and I dunno how to put it into words but its defiantly one of the most caring things Ive heard of someone trying to do.
And everyone is but human. We will occasionally have people trespass on areas where we feel sacred or that should be secluded. Unless something was an intentional strike on someone totally innocent(as you would say, virgin), most anything can be forgiven for a good person.
This dosent go to you or to him, but rather both cause ive seen great things from ya both already. Its great to see what can happen when 2 strangers meet and become friends. They both helped each other immediately, and who knows how many are more to come

I read the beginning of this thread, you really come a long way in a short time.. I was wondering if you were ever able to get your disability,, It is just recently that the disability courts are beginning to finally look into the affects of the Fibro and excepting it as a disease.. I have Fibro and digenerative disk disease.. If you haven't already, I hope you try for the disability again,, With this Fibro you have many more bad days then good. You also need to have medical care and the only way to get it is through disability, unless your wealthy enough to be able to afford it.. I am sorry you had a rough year of it, I pray your world is much calmer and easier for you the years to come...
