I guess I'm kinda old-fashioned about this anonymous stuff. I stand behind what I say. The only real fears I had were in the past before I became a bonified mmj patient and since Obama has told the Feds to stay off our butts last week... I feel quite protected... if you fear for me from someone trying to rip me off or some religious vigilante wanting to Bible thump me... I am quite well protected.
I have cameras all over my property and dogs who would love to eat anything that comes over my property line, then the fact that I carry my S&W .38 on my side... if someone is camera/dog/bullett proof... they sure aint gonna escape the wrath of my lovely wife or awesome neighbors!
The only thing that has me concerned right now is from a friend who says havin'/growin' weed is cool with the law but refining to oil is illegal!
If that is true... I sure aint gonna persue making oil! Too much at stake here to break any laws!
Does anyone know if it is illegal to refine mj? If it is... I'm just gonna start eating it in hopes of the same beneficial results. As a matter of fact... I'm gonna grind some herb and put it in a cap and swallow it now. I have been out of oil for a few days.

I don't think refining it into oil is illegal, although I'm not positive. I wouldn't think you are changing the chemical or medicinal qualities, so there should be no basic medical difference between smokable and edible herb, just a different delivery system. Its like saying smoking a joint is cool but vaporizing isn't. Also, I know dispensaries sell edible medication most likely made with oil or butter of some kind, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Here in California Prop 215 dosent cover chemical extraction only water extraction is covered by the compassionate use act...they will use Health and Safety Code 11379.(a) to charge you for chemically extracting resin and treat you like a meth cook if you get caught...I guess if it saves they dont want us to have it

I will try and locate some articles I have on this subject and post them for you check out.

no, it's not illegal. we are working with a THCF Collective in Riverside and oils are acceptable as long as they are prepared and labled properly. One of our partners makes oils and they were appoved by the collective. They go by the letter when it comes to the laws, so we can operated safely.

so... I've been looking for a thread with step by step instructions on how to make this oil, is that even a question I can ask? I can't seem to find what I'm looking for, could someone please point me in the right direction? I'm having a problem with videos on my computer right now, so something written out would be optimal.
