Mogie....that sounds just like my life before MM....I used to have 10 seizures a week and they all ended up with either me, or something around me, broken. Once, I had a seizure while I was reclining in my chair and I still ended up with stitches....yeah that tripped me out too. Presently, I am on my longest run without a seizure....2 months!!!
Being 6'4" and 225lbs the ground is a long way away...... things really do break when I land on them....my nose at least 10 times....but what bothers me the most is not really my body since I heal pretty well but all the expensive items I fall on and break....then have to replace. I'm sure with time, my body won't heal as fast or at all, but for now it's OK. The seizures that I have supposedly leave scar tissue on my brain so, in turn, I have more frequent seizures.....that is why my goal is to have none at all....and MM is starting to get me to that goal. It will help me and all the other people who get scared ****less when I have one...I hear that it is not a pretty sight whatsoever and there is only a 50/50 chance that I will come out of it.
Obviously, so far so good.....I seem to be really lucky and I finally transfered that luck to Blackjack in Vegas....I could not lose....I came home with everything paid for by my winnings and alot extra and that was the first time that I had ever gambled(34 yrs old)....been 3 times since....all with the same result. Problem is, my wife went only one of those times and now hates me going by myself.....I decided to just save my luck for my seizures and haven't been back. I even paid for a whole cruise by gambling in the ships' casino...don't worry my wife was with me for this one too....Cruises are OK, just not Vegas....go figure. I still can't get anywhere on the Holdem game here at GP. Take care all!!!

Hi Johnny,
Seems many of us have experience with epilepsy in the past, myself included. My first wife had complex-partial epilepsy, and 2-3 seizures a day was not uncommon. I finally encouraged her to look into a program at UCLA Med. Center (LA) and after 6 mos. of in-hospital research on her they did a "Lobectomy", and removed her right temporal lobe. Seems to have stopped the seizures, but she was still 95% Biatch afterwards..
BTW, LUCK can run more than one way, and while I've made pretty good money in Vegas, I've also left too damn much there! Keep at the Texas Hold 'Em on here...you'll get it! (I was up to 11,000+ points (dollars?) on the game and screwed up by hitting a button on my mouse...lost all the points before I could report them.
Lots of good folks here, and a great place to spend time while the green stuff grows...:smokin:

I suffer (more or less) from back pain since I was 22, due to some deformation of my Spinal column, last year it was that bad that I had to think about surgery, did not, but made 1 month of rehablitation and later on regularly gymnastic. that helped, but I had to use a lot of chemical substances to handle the pain, with all the well-known side effects. starting on april this year, I discovered the benefits of using cannabis, nearly completely stopped using chemical pain killers, unbelievable improvement of mobility, AND, no symptoms of depression anymore!!! (besides the usual ups and downs of everyday life). peace, Martin |

Hey HighPhi, User, grower, it does'nt matter what catagory I fall under. I,m very sensitive about my condition. Not the condition of my health, but the condition of my livelyhood being put on hold for a few years while our state and federal govt have there way with me in prison. Needless to say the embarassment to my family and loved ones as our names are dragged through every newspaper and breakfast joint in town. Just because I choose to use a different type of medication then what are govt and the special interest groups(ie. big pharmaceutical cos) want us to BUY to treat my illness. Or because I choose to be a caregiver to a loved one and grow a few plants I,m sensitve to it. Ands it's a damn shame I have to be.

Well the thoughts been there, but no bags have been packed.(yet) I"ve still have a smidgin of hope that thru education and perseverance we can get the laws changed. Not just here, but Nationally. With Web sites like this and others like it we spread the word. One bud at a time.

I have Chron's disease and MS. I tell the people who ask. I smoke weed to keep from shitting myself and twitching alot. They usually laugh. But really, would you rather me be stoned? Or sitting next to you and shitting myself and twitching alot? Most people would choose stoned. I try to make my problem (because it is) and not anyone else's.(because it's not) I have an aunt who is in the same boat with the MS (just farther along) and she has found that smoking weed helps her too. For that I am thankful. I live my life the way I want to because in 10 to 15 years I will more than likely be in a wheelchair. I dont piss and moan about it because it does no good. I owe it to myself and everyone around me to live my life to the fullest. But of course some days are better than others.

My wife had been prescribed an anti-depressant called Efexor for several years. Our medical insurance changed last year and I opted for a very high deductable, and I found out what the drug was costing. With the old insurance it was $20 per month. With new ins about $108. Her doctor said there was no cheaper substitute. Her NEW doctor gave her a couple alternatives which worked just as well, and cost about $10 per month. I suggested MJ. She doesn't use the hard drugs anymore.
