Rep Power: 91 | | Vaporizing to relieve throat pain? An adult friend of mine just had her tonsils and adnoids removed the day before yesterday. Today she woke up in extreme pain with her throat so swollen she can hardley swallow. Her throat started swelling last night and she almost couldnt swallow the pain pill. Now this morning shes hurting so bad she dont want to attempt to swallow the pill. Would Vaporizing some Medical Grade Herb help with the pain in her throat, or do you think this is a bad idea and would cause even further discomfort/pain? I was going to pack up the Vape and drive over to her house and get her to puff once or twice, my consern is that the vaporizer would cause her to cough and irritate the throat even further. ANY THOUGHTS or Tips on what to do? Happy Healing, JointGirl |

I would worry it would irritate the throat also.. My vape is easier than smoking, but I still get a *little* irritation.

Call her doctor and maybe mix some into ice cream? It might help better if she ate it over smoking it. Or rub some oil on her throat. Hope she is okay...that is awful having it done so old. i was 2 when I had mine done.

Rep Power: 91 | | TY all for the advise. The oil sounded Great- If only I had some:D im all out and waiting on next batch. Shouldve already had it??? In the mean time though, I have good herb. I went to visit her today, and left the vaporizer at home. Since she couldnt speak on the phone, I assumed she wouldnt want to try. Little did I know, she already tried to hit a bowl this morning, and it was BAD! She hasnt attempted it any more. She is REALLY BAD OFF, and can barely get her pain pills down her throat. She has only sipped on water a few times over the last 3 days? Her throat and face is swollen, and the back of her throat looks...EEEWWW Black & Burnt! She took a perk before I left, and was off to dreamland when I left. She has NO appitite as the fear of swallowing takes away ANY hunger pains. I was hoping if I could get her to Vape, she will get an appitite, or at least help from feeling nausious from the pain pills? I will try this out tomorrow, and I will update on how it works? I will attemp to make these (1 Day) but right now, there are 2 ingredients I dont have, and I need to search around to see where they are available at in my area. By the time I get these made, Hopefully my friend will feel better- But I will be able to keep em on hand for the up-coming winter. Herbal Throat LozengesThese homemade lozenges are simple, easy,
and quite effective at treating a sore threat. - 1 teaspoon licorice extract powdered
- 1 tablespoon marshmallow root or slippery elm, powdered
- 1 tablespoon red raspberry leaves, powdered
- 1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 drops scented geranium, sage, or rosemary
- 1gram of hash oil

Mix herbal powders together with just enough honey to make a thick goo.
Add hash oil and mix well with fork or fingers.
Pinch off small pieces, roll into balls,
then flatten slightly to form a lozenge.
Toss lightly in a bowl with a little cornstarch. Set to dry for 12 hours.
Store in an airtight container.
