I dont know much about Prozac but my lady says it put her in a fog. Says she could not handle it and it was making her depression worst. I hope it works better for your lady! Sorry but I have not seen any strain specifically for PTSD but there is a strain guide at torotohemp.com I would think a Quality Indica would help because it really tends to makes you relax. Good Luck!

physically, no prozac is not "Good" for you. It can help some mentally, but if it doesnt help, than I wouldnt look for more miracle pills.. just look at most medical problems associated with prescription drug use. Make sure shes ingesting milk thistle, or its extract...her liver cant be in great shape..and it heals it like no other herb. I agree a quality indica is best...dont venture too much into the pure sativas unless your willing to go into unknown ground...sometimes I dont like the endless ceilings and rushes it produces of certain sativas..but love others that produce nice body effects...but can always rely on a quality indica to keep my mind and body at ease. There are other herbs that can help stop the urges to binge..or even use..

Rep Power: 0 | | NO!!!!! It is not a safe Drug at all people. Many reported suicides and other severe adverse reactions to this Medication. Pass on this junk especially for PTSD. Peace, Med

I myself had no emotion while on prozac. They had missed diagnosed me saying it was only depression that was my problem ( not that depression isn't bad enough ) But the prozac made me worse. Granny Storm Crow's List July 2009 here you will find what your wifes illness is and some very helpful information on it. I hope it helps

High all...
15 years or so ago, when in the first 2 years of retail business (was a fortune 500 company IT systems analyist previously), summers the retail business would drop off so bad (still does now, worse) that my stress levels were going thru the cieling (<??? roof! LOL!!)... I went to the doc asked for the P and he gave it to me...
I took it for 3 months, during that time, stress was less.. I didn't feel like road rage every time someone wasn't doing what I wanted.. on the road or off (wifey was happier too)... I stopped for 2 months, during which time I reverted back to my previous state but would hesitate before loosing my mind...and then went back on for 2 months... The 2nd time
It gave me better 'rage perspective'... I can still get those feelings but they aren't anywhere near the levels previously... I'm also 15 years older..
I wouldn't recommend P (or one of its' dirivatives) for prolonged use...
AND it IS bad for you physically too... I'm glad I used it.. will not use it again.... bottom line.. I like myself more 'after' my expierience with P.
And let me say that I haven't been in a physical altercation in over 40 years..

I know some people it works for,but a lot more who couldn't get off it fast enough. All were on it for depression though. My brother in law couldn't sleep while on it,he said, every time he shut his eyes,it was like he had his own personal fairground lights in his head.Mental illness is like that though,it's all about 'horses for courses'.I'd say see how she goes for 2 to 3 months, and if its not doing any good,go back to the doc's and ask for something else.It took me about 3 years and 7 different types of meds to find find a keeper.Hope this is of help and best wishes to you and your wife,Cheers Tumnus.

Now that you all mention these bad/good things.. it reminds me that at the time i took P.. I had no money for bud and at that time (no longer) I had very good health care... the P cost $5.. the bud was $400/z.. stil is>> out there... I never felt the need for it while I could affoard the buds.. Now.... I get it 'much' cheaper..
And I'm not getting into health care.. PLEASE! NO!

One of the worst drugs out there and it's criminally legal
We all could live better without the monster ripoff pharmaceuticals.
