Default Medicinal Marijuana dispensary question

I am about as illerate with the dispansary laws as anyone could be right now. I have looked at Washington State laws but can not find/figure out how to open a medicinal marijauna dispansary/ clinic. Could someone please direct me to a web page or help me in any way. I know growers, I know patients that get it medicinaly but would like to know how to open , get the proper liscensing and all the bureaucratic BS to open a dispansary. I am very serious about this and I hope someone could hold my hand and help me walk through this, as a friend , which is what I preceived this web site to be.

Thank You,
Holly

PS
As you can see I am not hiding behind any false or made up names. I am serious about this and wish someone could counsel me.

They should be able to link you to the right place for the info you need.

Dispensaries aren't really legal under proposition #215 in California. Our law here was written to support patients, patient growers and patient collectives, not store fronts where middlemen make huge profits off of and exploit both patients and growers.

Im not familiar with how your law was written, but it should describe a method of access for patients that would include caregivers and growing collectives, I would imagine. Probably plan on following that model. You might also want to check with your county officials and local law enforcement and ask if they have any specific policies in place to regulate the dispensation of Medical Marijuana in your county and city.

My partner and I have a Garden Collective in So Cal and we are working with a new clinic collective in Riverside ran by THCF, the first of it's kind. So much of this is just now developing, you are on the ground breaking floor my friend!

Good Luck to you
I wish you well in your efforts to help sick folks have safe access

The law in WA regarding the dispensing of medicine to one patient at a time as a non profit business has not yet been clarified in the courts. In King county it is often tolerated, especially in Seattle, but no one can point to an RCW which draws out guidelines under which these types of businesses can operate legally.

Most patients (per the DOH report) acquire medicine through social networks.

The only clarified section of the law regarding legal distribution is that you may have a single person for whom you may grow for, and provide medicine to, not to exceed possession of a 60 day supply in combination with said patient. If you are a patient as well as a provider you may have in combination with that patient, possession of their 60 day supply (presumed to be 24 ounces and 15 plants per the WAC), and your own.

Default the issue

has been so taboo that local authorities are afraid to touch it because it is so controversial. Anything they come up with would be challenged and ineffectual anyway. We needed to gain acceptance within the mainstream population to make any headway toward the development of policies that have any chance of succeeding. Frusterating, yes. But thanks to William Randolph Hearst and his cronies, it is the reality we have to deal with.

I see great strides being made toward that acceptance. Once we have that, the war will be over. Remember, the world is watching us and wondering if we are indeed criminals or if in fact we are simply sick folks that need and deserve this plant and are upstanding citizens that can be trusted.
