It can help many by doing this sweetheart.

peace&love | I have Crohn's disease, which has some similar symptoms. And I can tell you from personal experience, it changed my life. (For the better.) I would go so far as to call it a life saver.
It helps me with diarrhea, nausea, digestion, some indigestion (but not much, I still need to take an acid reducer), and it works very very well for abdominal pain. Nothing else has done this for me that hasn't had major negative side effects.

Rep Power: 151 | | When I was in my late 20s...
I had some rather severe bowel problems- I would get stomach cramps, vomit, belch up "sewer gas", chills and fever feelings, and have diarrhea. Very unpleasant! The doctor was convinced it was gall bladder problems and wanted to have me undergo surgery. I had an ACTIVE 18 month old- no way I could be flat on my back!
So there I was reading a "Prevention" magazine one day, and there in the letters was some poor gal who had the exact same symptoms- and her surgery did not clear it up! So she started eliminating chemicals from her diet and when she hit Benzoate of Soda/Sodium Benzoate her symptoms vanished!
I tried eliminating the BS/SB and my stomach calmed down. I now avoid it like poison, since for me, it IS!
Now this may not be what's troubling you Kiki, but it wouldn't hurt to try eliminating it from your diet for a while. Salad dressings, BBQ sauces, some sodas and a lot of foods may have this chemical in it. It can be in wine WITHOUT being mention on the label! Most folks have no problem with BS, but for a few of us, it is bad news!
Jangel already posted the studies I've gathered, so all I have left to say is- Welcome to GreenPassion, hon!

Rep Power: 151 | | Yes, read the ingredients list!
It will be down near the bottom. Learn the names of the "B" vitamins and then as a good general rule- if it isn't a word in common English (with the exception of the "B"s- thiamine, cyanocobalamin, etc) dont eat it! There are several books on food additives- ask at you local heath food store.
And there is a huge thread on Crohn's/IBS over at Grass City- give me a moment- aha! There it is! Crohn's Patients - Grasscity.com Forums

To be honest, I haven't found a strain that hasn't helped at least some. Even the mexi-brick-weed helped me, though a medicinal strain works MUCH better. But I haven't tried too many.
The two varieties that I have both grown and smoked, CH9 Jack and Mazar-i-Sharif, were both very good. The mazar worked better for the pain and the jack for nausea / etc. (CH9 Jack is based off of Jack Herer(sp?)) However, the difference could have just been because the Mazar had a shorter flower time than the Jack.
If she can get a sampling and find a few that she likes, I bet it will make a world of difference, at least when things get bad. (Or should that be especially when things get bad?) I hope it works for her. | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to SmokeToLive For This Useful Post: | |

Oh, and diet: Definitely try to isolate foods that upset your stomach more if you can. I've found that eliminating fried food, for example, helps me very much. And the more natural the better. (The fewer the preservatives/additives, the fewer the chances of you finding something that upsets ye olde bowels.)

You probably need more fiber in your diet. Try snacking on natural things like grapes and apples. Drop the fried / greasy stuff to a minimum. You can also make your own bread, etc, with things like milled flax seed added in for extra nutritional value.

For years I was convinced I suffered from IBS or Crohn's and tried a bunch of prescription meds. Here's what worked.
1. Do a minimum 10 day Master Cleanser fast to detoxify all the junk out of your system (just like a nice flush before harvest). Just search for "master cleanser" there's plenty of info.
2. Get one of Suzanne Somers books (I know I know, I'm embarassed everytime I say it). They all have names like "Get skinny on fabulous food" and the basic premise can be summed up on about 2 pages which is the concept of food combining. No proteins/fats and carbs together. Protein/fats and veggies are fine. Carbs and veggies are fine. No white sugar, white flour, etc etc. Very few rules. You can eat plenty.
Changed my life.
