Default Marijuana may Stop Multiple Sclerosis

Marijuana may Stop Multiple Sclerosis Progress and Pain.

The April 1 2007 edition of Nature Medicine has shown how cannabis might be effective in slowing the onslaught of MS.
By stimulating molecules called cannabinoid receptors THC could relieve symptoms and save nerves from the disease’s damaging effects, possibly halting the disease's progress.
Both CB1 and CB2 receptors on neurons are effected by cannabis stimulation. Researcher have discovered that if they target only the CB2 receptors they can avoid the potential “high” associated with marijuana use.

I have been following this story very closely. My ex-fiancee works at the National MS Society here in Philly. I have volunteered for the past 10 or so years helping with walks and runs, and have raised money putting on rock shows. These people need help it is a terrible disease, I have some close friends and a couple family members who have this disease, some worse than others. It isn't just ashame that MM is being attacked it's downright criminal.

Thanks again VM, eduacting yourself is half the battle, we need some knowledgable people to represent the leagalization, then maybe it will be taken seriously...toomany people can find help through MM.

My gf who is a flight attnt was on a flight that wrecked a couple years ago. She's ok except for head/back/neck pain from being thrown around. She did ok considering the other fliught attnt on board was thrown from the floor to the ceiling to the floor back to the ceiling and then back to the floor.

Anyway...my gf still goes to the Dr. for follow-ups. They are almost offering her pain medicine that they think she should need looking at the damage/xrays/past patient experience. She's pain free and doesnt use anything....except MJ.

I myself am a former athlete. Torn acl twice...same knee...no surgery either time. I rehab'd myself as I am a gym attendee. I get the same thing when my Dr. looks me over. He assumes Im in pain. I was even diagnosed with arthritis in both knees. No pain. Between exercise/MJ I've done pretty well considering.

Was all this off topic?

Isn't it silly that a herb that does so much good is illegal? No silly is the wrong word. It is sad.

It's criminal, think of all the people it could have helped. Think about how pharma companies make inferior drugs and charge millions for them. Think about all the sick people that could have been helped had we not been force fed this propaganda.

If I told my grandmother about this she would be upset with me, a lot of people have been programmed to believe a lie at the exspense of the people that need it. IT'S CRIMINAL

On the show Weeds they have pot suckers.
The accountant has them.
He got them from a clinic.

Anyone heard of them?

It starts the new season Monday on Showtime.
