Default How Cannabis Works

You Have An Endocannabinoid System

Quote:
Cannabinoids are in every living animal on the planet above Hydra and Mollusks, with the exception of insects. Bodies are homeostatically maintained by the Cannabinoid System. Mothers give their babies a booster shot of cannabinoids in mothers milk to give them the munchies because they have to learn to eat.
(they've been fed thru the umbilical cord and did not have to know how to eat.)

I have a collection of links you may find useful.

Quote:
"When I was a child I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child:
but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
In America, marijuana has chiefly been known only as an intoxicant.
Continuing to treat it as such will only serve to keep it from being utilized as medicine.

I believe a serious discussion on the merits of medical cannabis use, is paramount if this plant is to regain it's rightful place of prominence. We must put away the radical OverGrow mentality and present sound scientific facts to bolster our claims of receiving benefits from consuming this plant responsibly.

Thanks, yes my interests have progressed beyond smoking a joint to get high towards the real therapeutic and medicinal properties of this plant.
When I was growing up in the 1960's & 1970's, marijuana use was quite prevalent in my family. I have 4 older sisters who all were entrenched in the times and frequently smoked marijuana recreational.
I grew up in the culture of the 1960's, mostly known as little ricky by the older kids (eventually my brother-in-laws).
Not until I became disabled did I begin treating marijuana with the respect it deserves as a medicinal plant.
Imagine if the Medical community and Science had treated Marijuana with the same interest and respect as they have extracts from the Poppy. Our knowledge of this plant would be much farther along by the 21st century than it is currently understood.
I'm hopeful that patients as well as those who consume marijuana recreational will begin examining the scientific research being conducted around the world and demand that our scientists be afforded access to this plant for research.

It has been said that if they just "found" cannabis in a jungle or other remote place it would be considered man's best find in the medical communities. But thanks to people like H. Aslinger who's own bigotry cloud the mind of millions of people. It would be treated as some sort of Miracle

But I too feel as you do. Im no stranger to Mary Jane but I have found a new fondness to her as she is very important to the medical community and has became very important to me as a pain treatment.

Iriseyes.
Yes, I have hope that we, as a nation and community are beginning to re-awaken to this reality. I hope so at least. A great first step is if the Federal Government would release their lengthy study of marijuana for others to review and compliment with their own research.

I too think that we are beginning to awaken and I do believe some of that to be because patients are not treated so fairly.

I live in MO and we have no legislation and have Fibro and Chronic pain but if your in one of 13 states and have the same condition as me you will be able to treat your pain legally. How fair is that? It's like the government arresting people for what they have been sending to some patients for over 30 years. You would think that program would show the government how well it works.. But then they would have to admit they are wrong. Fat chance in that happening.

I am not being treated by my doctor so I have to find relief myself - then I get in trouble for treating myself. Silly humans..
