I was caregiver for my mother for 5 years (she died last year with Alzheimer's). I wasn't able to get her a card until the last year but it made the end much more comfortable and enjoyable for her (and me). She had never smoked in her life (88yrs) but I got her into using a vaporizer pretty easily. Go for it and good luck.
my mother who is now in a nursing home, has advanced dementia. Before we had to put her in a nursing home she was still coherent and her mind worked she just couldn't do what her mind was telling her to do. Well, my wife and I both smoke MMJ and my mom would be in the same room that we were in so she would partake without knowing. She would have an appetite and her brain worked, she knew who we were and could do things like knit and crochet. Since she entered the home she is no longer coherent, she cannot speak coherently and has absolutely no idea of who I am.
Bummer.

In the link in my sig. It is evident from the studies that plain old cannabis and similar synthetics slow the progression of Alzheimer's. I keep wondering what a tiny bit of Rick Simpson's "Hemp Oil" every day would do to the amyloid plaque that is gumming up the brains of Alzheimer's victims? Could the damage be reversed?

I think so, Granny. Since the nerve cells are essentially undamaged, it certainly seems possible. If I recall correctly, Dr. Melamede mentions Alzheimer's, specifically, in the video above.

So sad. :( I'm sorry.
I would recommend a vaporizer or baked goods for anyone who isn't used to smoking.
