I recently read a post on another site that gave the advice to obtain your mmj prescription from a doctor and a liscense in a legal state and then return to your illegal state and be able to legally receive it. ARE THEY NUTS? You could have ten mmj id cards from ten legit legal states and guess what here your going straight to Jail! Do not pass go do not collect 200$. This State will roll out the red carpet for that kinda conviction. I can just see it in the papers now. Best not to follow that advice friends.

I thought that the MMJ states required that you be a resident anyway, which usually means living there for a year first.

Though one might think with the full faith and credit clause of the Constitution this would be possible, but things like DOMA, as well as issues like this, show just how much this part of our Constutition is ignored. (When convenient...)

California doesn't legally honor ID cards from other state but I know that Montana does. They were promoting it at the THC Expo to vacation in Montana and get your meds! I agree what you do in your home should be your own business.
