Default DIY Sativex?

how could you make a homemade version of sativex? obviously you wouldn't be able to standardize the dosages of THC:CBN like they can but I mean is there a way to make a similar delivery method with a tincture? so if you started with a good tincture could you just add it to an atomizer? the real sativex is a final product that contains THC and CBN in alcohol, peppermint oil, and propylene glycol. obviously it is really small doses of propylene glycol but for the purposes of a homemade version its not worth bothering, at least I would think so. I doubt the subtraction of propylene glycol would change the bioavailability, solubility, or shelf life too much. would an atomizer cap for a bottle duplicate the buccal delivery method? has anyone tried sativex sublingually with a dropper or intranasally with a dropper or spray bottle?

Good questions.

I've never seen or used Sativex. But, the idea that a simple tincture might be analogous to Sativex seems valid. However, the properties of tinctures vary wildly. That's the problem with homemade concoctions. They can't be duplicated reliably. But, for your own use, you might find what amounts to the fountain of youth.

Look at Dr. Melamede. That man is well into his 60s!! But, he could pass for late 30s.

In ten years, it will be common knowledge that cannabinoids slow the aging process and protect every system in the body from damage on a cellular level. The endocannabinoid (ECS) system is simply amazing.

one way you could make a good tincture would be to use cannabis that is cloned from a mother plant; a mother plant that is from a strain with good and consistent potency. a more complicated way would be to extract the cannabinoids measure it and infuse it onto the leaf to standardize it. I believe that is how the University of Mississippi ensures uniform potency in the joints they mail to the 4 fed patients. although I think they get rid of many of the cannabinoids, perhaps all but THC and maybe CBN and CBD, could be wrong on that though. (edit: although you could just use the extract instead of infusing it back since we're talking about tinctures.) maybe using kief or hash would also help to standardize the doses.
