VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

I'm considering reviving an old project. Here is the general idea:

We now know, without a doubt, that cannabis is a safe and highly effective medicine. We know that an extract of cannabis (hemp oil), ingested orally, is especially effective. We know it. But, how many people on the street have a clue?

As human beings, it is our duty to do everything we can to spread the news about this simple extract and also inform and educate people about the ECS (endocannabinoid system). As a skilled web-developer, I am especially obligated, I think, and I've let my personal feelings get in the way of that.

So, upon reflection, and in view of developments, I've decided to right that wrong, if possible.

I own the following domains:

cannabiscures.org
cancerandcannabis.com
cannabisandcancer.com

I'm inclined to start with cannabiscures.org - here's what I have in mind:

A. This will be an informational website, only. There will be no community component - no forums. We will organize the most compelling evidence and present it in a way that convinces people to, at least, open their minds to the possibility that there just might be something to this, after all.

B. The site will target people who have never heard that cannabis can truly heal. We spend too much time preaching to the choir. We need to reach people who don't have the first clue about it. That should be the goal.

C. The site will work in tandem with the GP forums. Links to the medical section here, and even to specific threads, will be used to guide users to more info and discussion.

D. My hope is that we can organize on the forums, print up flyers and literature, and organize demonstrations on the local level next year, in the warm months. We can also try to get up an advertising budget and use the same media tricks they use to make our point.


Obviously, such a project will require many helping hands and a lot of input from the community. It can't be a one-man-show and I don't wanna promote myself as some sort of guru. This will be a team, not a cult of personality. We have quite enough of those around. There's no need for another. Also, I don't want to do it forever. I wanna wind it up and watch it go, not babysit it for five years.

So, if people are interested in helping put something like this together, please post here and let's do this thing!

By the way, this is probably obvious for people who know me. But, for those who don't, I want to make something perfectly clear, from the outset. There will be no advertising or begging for money on this site. It costs NOTHING to host a site. We can stream video, do conferences - whatever we want. But, this is NOT ABOUT MONEY.

Let Big Pharma worry about money. That's all they're really good at, anyway. We'll focus on the message.

Well, the first step is to get the volunteers together on a private forum and brainstorm.

We will want to decide what info we want to use and how to present it. I think anyone with knowledge of the medical properties of cannabis and/or the desire to help can be of service.

Most of the time, you can attach files in posts. If they are too big, we can use DropBox.

HI Micheal, is this only pertaining oil, or other medical recipes.... Just wondering. Because tea is also great for treatment. You can make batch and freeze it and use as needed. Just a thought.

It would be about the medical benefits of cannabis.

Maybe we will do tutorials after the main site is built. But, I consider that to be supplemental information. The meat and potatoes will be factual evidence and stuff like Granny's List.

Off the top of my head I was thinking of Doctor's endorsements of MMJ usage. Seems like I seen a paper and a video on a gov site, presented by a Dr. and was quite compelling.

Hi Michael gr8t idea I wish you the best with this new project. How about a section for doctor education or resource for them to get the most current info. For myself in Canada our doctors are the reason there are so few legal exemptions. Most doctors refuse to sign MMAR applications, leaving most sick patients scrambling to get good information to give to them or show them to encourage their participation in getting patients legal.
