Default Blurry Vision from Meds?

I've recently discovered that two of my favorite strains, Blueberry (pre '89) and Northern Lights, both cause me to have blurry vision. Not just a little but I really shouldn't drive either. However, this made me question if these two strains then would be more or less effective for Glaucoma? Anybody have any input?

Very interesting, I was looking at the medical benefits for these two strains and it doesn't say anything about glaucoma, But this would be something to check into... not sure yet were to look but will try

Layman here, so take this with a grain of salt... Hypotony, a medical condition of the eye that is charachterised by low intraocular pressure and blurred vision, sometimes accompanied by eye pain or discomfort, tends to illuminate the possibilty that it may have some correlation. If the lowered intraocular pressure is causal to the blurriness experienced, then it may indicate your experiences are tied to this lowering of intraocular pressure. May. Intraocular hypertension is an elevation of this fluid pressure in the tissues behind the cornea. This fluid, called Aqueous Humor, is the nutrient delivery system of the eye, and drains to the framework designed for the purpose behind this system. Intraocular hypertension is considered a risk factor for glaucoma, and is distinct from it in that optic nerve damage is not observed in simple hypertension. Although not absolutely necessary, elevated intraocular pressure is observable in the majority of cases of Glaucoma and is considered to be a detriment to the optic nerve. Much of the claims about Cannabis's medical efficacy for this condition is tied to studies which have shown a decrease in this intraocular pressure. This is by no means medical advice, I am not a doctor of any sort. I believe the best way to answer this question would to be to have this conversation with a trusted medical professional, or two. I hope this information helps to inform the question that you may raise with a qualified medical professional. Happy Toking!!

Wow Jigsy,

That's not just a simple, "You might have something there." hehe You put a lot of thought into your response. :-) I appreciate knowing something of the mechanics involved with Glaucoma. Thanks.

I wish that people would report more strain specific findings, Deb, but still, everyone is so different. No easy answers I'm afraid.

Can a person qualify for disability with Fibro?

According to government statistics, only 15 to 20 percent of fibromyalgia sufferers are currently on long-term disability; however, because many people with fibromyalgia also suffer from overlapping conditions, these other illnesses may be cited as the reason for long-term disability rather than the fibromyalgia itself. http://www.everydayhealth.com/fibrom...isability.aspx

Given the symptoms of Fibromyalgia I would hope such assistance would be available for severe and debilitating cases. as with everything SSI there are gray areas and hoops to jump through. In all likelyhood, if you could prove the nature of the symptoms were incapacitating or extremely interfering with employment possibilities than one should be able to.

From what I have been told, the disability courts are becoming more aware and are finally starting to except that fibro is a disease... And if you have anyother health issues of course that will help your case,,,
