Lester Grinspoon, M.D., Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, wrote in a March 1, 2007 editorial in the Boston Globe titled "Marijuana as Wonder Drug":

"It is a sad commentary on the state of modern medicine -- and US drug policy -- that we still need 'proof' of something that medicine has known for 5,000 years. [...] Marijuana is effective at relieving nausea and vomiting, spasticity, appetite loss, certain types of pain, and other debilitating symptoms. And it is extraordinarily safe -- safer than most medicines prescribed every day. If marijuana were a new discovery rather than a well-known substance carrying cultural and political baggage, it would be hailed as a wonder drug."

It's my wonder drug....don't know what I'd do without it. It calms me, I got one of those italian tempers. It helped me get off the booze and it is a treat on a nice day to sit in back yard and just relax with my 3 dogs..

I know other people really need this drug and I think it is horrible that they cutoff these poor people going through chemo, diabetes, etc....

Did anyone ever notice that a lot of perscription drugs can damage the liver? This basically means that it is poison in your body. Last time I checked MJ does nothing to the liver.

yea i am constantly arguing the benefits of marijuana to all my "alcohal" friends...its a constant battle, but slowly and surely making head way
