Default Arthritis balm

things you need:
4 0z of dried leaf and lower buds(u know the ones ya hate to trim)
slow cooker
1-1/2 oz. pure bees wax
old pillow case for staining(or similar)
scented oil to cover cannabis smell(aromatherapy essential oil)
double boiler
1-1 1/2 cups of coconut oil(health food stores have this)
hot water
container with lid big enough to separate in fridge(same as canna butter)
fridge

how to:
-put leaf and bud in bottom of slow cooker
-add your coconut oil
-cover all with very hot water then stir to mix oil and hot water
-turn slow cooker on low setting
-cook for 10-12 hours
-drain mixture through cloth into container(be sure to wring it out)
-put in fridge till oil rises to surface and hardens use freezer if your fridge isnt cold enough
-remove water from oil mix
-place oil in double boiler
-stir and melt
-add the bees wax and scent(essential oil)
-pour into a useable container(empty cottage cheese containers work well)
-let cool and harden

how different is this process then making the oil itself? Could someone please outline the difference for me as I would like to try making oil with this next harvest. Thanks much

Great post! I have all the ingredients already since I've been planning on making a salve for my aching shoulder (don't know yet why it throbs, but I suspect tendonitis)

I bought hempseed oil and coconut oil to make mine with. I also bought some mango butter to try with it.

What is the shelf life of your balm?

not really certain,i make a batch and use it up in 3-5 months.this balm works for aching muscles as well.good luck!
