Default Anxiety and Depression

Hello wonderful people.

I am fairly new, but I have really enjoyed my time at this forum so far. I suffer from bouts of severe anxiety and depression. My doctor told me that the best thing would be to smoke a moderate amount of marijuana to help with the really debilitating issues. Unfortunately, I live in a state where medical marijuana is not an option. As a result, he prescribed a cocktail of other drugs (something is really wrong with this in my opinion).

Anyway, I have gotten some from friends, but the type and quality is inconsistent at best. As a result, I am preparing a grow for my own use. My question to the fine people here is, what strains have people found to be good for (1) indoor grow and (2) symptoms a depression and anxiety? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Peace.

welcome.

in the list youll find several strains for your ailments. i too am an anxiety/depression sufferer and in my research most tend to feel that SATIVA strains are better for the anxiety/depression since they are more of an uplifting high. GREAT NEWS, there are tons of sativas out there.

badnews...they grow tall and take longer to mature BOOO. but it can be done. i have a grow of Strawberry Cough going right now. Ive heard mixed reviews on it but im still excited for it. As the story goes, its a strain that was breed with anxiety in mind.

goodluck with your grow and keep us posted on what you decide to go with.

I have similiar issues to you. I have found that Kish (shishkaberry) works very well. Many of the types of seeds you can get are now crosses of both indica and sativa. The crosses have been developed to get the uplifting high from a sativa (flower cycle 9 to 15 weeks!!!!!!) with the speed of an indica (flower cycle usually 8 weeks)

Another is Blueberry, very nice and the taste is a treat. Also, Dela Haze and Blue Moonshine gives me the giggles!

One other thing to consider when you harvest: I have found that if you wait until there is a large percentage of amber trichs it can increase your anxiety. If you harvest when the trichs are cloudy, very little amber, then it is a more cerebral high, with less anxiety. But we will help you with all of this if you start a journal.

Welcome to GreenPassion! Nice to have you here!
