I find that in my case Sativas relieve my anxiety really well and Indicas can sometimes increase it, especially if they give a really heady couch-lock kind of stone and I'm in a social situation.
Sweet Island Skunk and Super Silver Haze are some great ones for my anxiety. I also like Blueberry as an Indica.
Hope all goes well in your search for strains that work for you. Good luck.

anxiety is a necessary body response, but a constant overstimulation causes an excess of anxiety...which can result in many problematic issues. I dont want to lump Indica's and Sativa's as Good and Bad, because they both have certain qualities that can help, and also make worse. If you are looking for a functioning anxiety reducer, sativas are good. If you are looking for something to just make you sleep, an more of a bodily response..go ahead with an indica. Ive found that being high off of either Indica or Sativa can increase my anxiety, the longer I stay high. The idea is to have a grip on anxiety with or without the weed...its just frosting on top of your own management. And dont forget the act of sobering up is just as important as getting high.
For strains, I suggest Kona Gold, Brainwreck, pretty much anything with a dominant Sativa side to it.
