Need Capacitor value for 150w HPS

I went to the local Lowe's yesterday and bought a 150 watt HPS security light that I'm rebuilding into a remote ballast system. :) Went to Hobby Lobby and found the 4" hurricane glass. Thanks everyone for these suggestions.

Of course, this cheap ballast DOESN'T have a PF capacitor. I've got a few large capacity capacitors laying around but would sure appreciate it if someone would check their low wattage ballast and tell me what "mfd" and voltage rating the capacitor is.

I figure that adding a capacitor will reduce the power consumption. Ya Think ?

Week #5.5 IndoNESIA ---

*Hello again,
I am in my 5 th of flowering and things are looking .........i suppose o.k....

I am not sure if my girls are getting too old now or what..Most of my fan leaves are Yellow and or dead. I over ferted 2 watering back and have since flushed and re-nuted at about 1/4 of the recommended dose.

Is it possible that my girls have gotten too mature? Not even sure if there is such a thing as "too mature"????

At any rate, I had 2 of them outdoors for a while and I sexed them..(why? Because some hero told me to sex em and find out whats , what....I think once I did this and then resorted back to Veg 24 hr under a 300 watt CFL, I may have been wasting too much time and my girls clock started ticking...

Once flowering, most Indo strains are about 8-9 weeks??? correct? I'm wondering since I sexed them if the clock didnt' start ticking then..Deal is, I have never seen this particular strain "Purple Jesus", at it's mature state so I can't tell if the coloring on the bud leafs are natural coloring or perhaps too old women??!!

Does anyone have any knowledge of this strain? I would appreciate any advice as I don't want to have the erb go bad.

I am using Botanicare Pro Bloom
Tap Water with a bit of Epsom, 250W HPS .
They are going 12/12, this is the 5th week of flower..

I have attached some pics of the ladies tonight and I hope they can tell the story for some of you who may be able to help me..Either way I believe this medicine will be KIND....

Perpetual harvest : Big Bud VS AK-47

Hello guys

I'm caught up between 2 strain choices, big bud and ak-47

big bud ; 60 days ready
ak-47 ; 45 days ready

SO ;
Am I right to say that, for the same g/watt or g/sqft ratio, I'd rather choose the ak-47 ?

Because spaced by 2 weeks, I would harvest 1/4 of my tent every 2 weeks with the big bud

But with ak-47, that would be 1/3 of the tent every 2 weeks, right?

Any pertinent comment or opinion welcome, as to what's the best choice for best yield

CO2 in a grow tent

Hello everybody ! indoor question now can't find topics on that

I'm planning to put co2 in a sealed grow tent.

I'll have a 4x8 tent, with 2 x 600w in cooled tubes, so the hot air would just go in and go straight out of the tent for heating purposes.

I'll have a dehumidifier/AC inside the tent, to make the humidity and temperature optimal.

My question is : will the heat of the *two lamps* in the tent be enough to make the temperature raise up to 27-32 C degrees (80-90F) inside? Or will it overheat without an AC ?

What can you expect (temperature) when you put 2 lamps in a closed tent, even with cool tubes?

i have a 12x8 room with a 600w and 1000w hps. currently running both lights at the same time for the 12 hour flower period, i was wondering what would happen if the 600w was on for the first hour by its self then after the hour is up the 1000w turn on. and then at the end of the day the 600w will turn off an hour ealier and the 1000w will be the only one on for the last hour, so there will still be 12 hours of light in the flower room, but each light only running for 11 hours. other than saving money for the hour the lights are not on, is there any real benefit from this? will it mess up my ladies? thank you for the help
