Have decided to grow me own, dealer weed here in the uk is so expensive, So I spent the money on grow equipment, got a 400w light, 100m ruck extrator fan and nice small cupboard to place the plants in (2-4)

chronic back pain and my other half is a wheelchair user, pot helps us through the day and is a life saver, unfortunately HM Government do not share the same view.

shakehands.gif I am a long time outdoor grower 25 years + . I quit smoking 15 years ago due to severe heart problems, but continue to grow high grade for 2 friends who have MS. It is amazing the how much cannabis helps them, less shaking, much less pain, lots more balance. It is people like these who truly need legalization. I am embarking on indoor growing this fall because of the greater control and much less exposure. i am especially intrested in using LEDs as a light source as they produce much less heat and are much harder to spot with infared scopes by L E so any suggestions are welcome. i have mainly grown Kush, Skunk hybrids in the past. any info on high THC % and SAFE seed banks will be appreciated! Thanks Allnite

A big Hi(gh)lands aye to you all from clydeca.
Yep, an old Scottish name for an old dog former stoner current activist.

I've given up the benefits of the bud in order to better bring about the day when all can enjoy all the benefits this plant offers to our world.

A former corporate type, I'm now using my admittedly limited talents to advocate the unambiguous rescission of any and all prohibitions on the use and exploitation of this plant known as Cannibis Sativa l.

I hope to be welcomed and add some wisdom to this forum as my background may allow.

Just so you know, I have put up a website. Click on the link in the signature to find it. It is an extension of Phoenix Tears and designed to raise awareness and activism in order to gain public support for the legalization of marijuana, cannibis, hemp, whichever moniker you wish to use.

I intend to make an issue regarding hemp, such as the Cure for Cancer, more important to the general public than its perceived detrimental effects. Everyone here, including me, knows that the accepted beliefs reinforced by generations of propaganda as well as current efforts of the main stream media are completely erroneous and unfounded.

Yet, they persist.

It is my belief that they will continue to persist until another immediate use for hemp trumps the cultural taboo status quo. That immediate use is here. Its use as a cure for cancer.

I won't spam your threads. If I can offer something of value to the discussion, I will. If not, I'll pass. But please consider supporting the idea and the cause of Legalize the Cure. 50,000 known uses of this plant. 49,999 denied to all of us because of 1 use. Let's turn it around and make it 49,999 to 1.

It is said that democracy works. Let's prove it.

I am interested as a Medical Marijuana user in growing what is legally permitted and to save money in doing so (if not even a bit of profit selling part of my crop to a local dispensary.

I would appreciate any help and ideas.

I want to start but do not want to spend boucoup bucks doing so. I would like to get a couple of crops done on the cheap and then, from there, decide what I want to do.

Please, help me from information overflow with a ”simple“ beginners guide with requisite materials as well. I can get some clones at my local dispensary and can grow up to 6 plants.

Thank you.

Anyse

I just found this site last night and it looks to be a wonderful resource. I am a 64 year old man living in Northern California; a cannabis patient with a lot of arthritis in my joints that just keeps getting more intense. I am particularly interested in learning how to make hemp oil, a la Rick Simpson, for self treatment.

Thanks to everyone here for all your contributions.

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to introduce myself and am so glad I found this forum. I've talked several times with Rick Simpson and am kind of on the same mission he has been on to educate people about hemp oil. I let everyone I know that there are options to treating cancer aside from all the pharmaceutical drugs. The trouble is as most of you must know unfortunately we have been taught to follow the rule of going to the doctor and doing as they suggest. WRONG!

I've seen too many loved ones get burned, cut, suffer with all of that.

Go Rick! The man has wings and courage to speak out.

Anyway-happy Monday to all!shakehands.gif

I suck at introductions, but here goes anyways.
I call myself White Grape because it is one of my favorite strains to grow and smoke.
Unfortunately I know nothing of it's genetics so I spend way to much time on the internet looking for info.
The bad news is I can't find anywall.gif
The good news is I keep finding great forums like Green Passiondrums.gif

I'm a relatively old man at 56, been smoking for 39 years and growing on and off for about 20.
Currently I'm into organics, though I have done hydro, soil, and outdoor grows in the past.
That's about it for now, more will come at the right times in the right threads:pot leaf:

Oh yea, I apparently have some kind of sick fetish for this smileysshrugsmiley.gif

Lisa Ling and National Geographic Channel tweeked my curiosity to do some internet research on the state of affairs with MMJ. View their presentation “Marijuana Nation” here: http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/series/explorer/3821/Overview
Be sure to look at the Overview, Video, Photos and Facts (tabs above entry photo). The statement by DEA that “they were loosing the War on Drugs” (specifically Marijuana) relates directly to the importance of your “Over Grow” project.
As a result , my internet research led to the ongoing Nutt Cracking case in the UK, see here: http://search.bbc.co.uk/search?uri=%2F&scope=all&go=toolbar&q=nutt An interesting read, several articles from the beginning of the row, to current related events are presented. It looks as though the politicians chose a tough Nutt to crack. Reading the replies to the articles it appears that the peoples of the UK are backing the Nutt.
I also came across Marc Emery (who was HIGHlighted( and Liting HIGH) in the video) and his websites VSB and CC. There I found an interesting first timer’s Grow Journal. Reading the journal was exciting, you might even say thrilling. Even though I knew the journal was over a year and a half old, I found myself wanting to post replies. Offering advice when things were definitely not going well:frown:, encouragement when times were toughwall.gif and a cyber high-five when obstacles were overcomeshakehands.gif. Then her Grow Journal was linked over here, Thanks Jangel.
So that brings me to why I am here offering my introduction, As I read her journals as well as other’s Grow Journals and the threads of the various forums here at GP, I started to realize the excitement and thrills were not completely satisfying my needs. I knew the members here were more mature and purpose driven than other sites I visited this last month, yet I could not view the photos that were posted with the entries, unless I became a member of the Family here. That is as frustrating as reading Playboy magazine, without being able to see the photoswall.gif.!!!
Ok, call me a pervert,,,just show me your Buds!!!
Actually, I spent the last day, reviewing all the journals and thread photos, just to catch up on all of the eye candy I had been missing. Swwweeeeeet.
Now I must ask the members of GP a gardening question, and perhaps inject some humor. The question is(drum roll please)drums.gif: 2P or not 2P in the garden?
Before you make a hasty decision on which side of the issue you support, please review background information here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/cambridgeshire/8357134.stm a healthy discussion with ”constructive” supporting argument is encouraged.
Now I must say Happy Birthday GP. I am glad you are here.

I'm new to this site & always a good thing to get help growing but the plants do all the work! I had a hydro set up some years back & it was so easy to do!
Its a better way as you can grow better choice of plant rauther than have to smoke the crap hack thats on the streets!
I'm going to restart the garden again when I get setup in the new dogs!
I'm planing a trip to Amsterdam soon so I can see first hand many of the plant varieties.
GOD made weed man made booze.....who do you trust!
To me all the chemical drugs are poison , but the natural ones are the ticket!
maybe if Drs prescibed weed instead of prozac the population wouldn't be as messed up as they are!

Next grow I get will use the digital ballasts as they can do both HPS & MH bulbs. As for the solutions it really doesn't matter what you choose as they are all the same except for cost!I had good luck with bigfoot & ausie grow for the cuttings...not a one died!Buying clones isn't a good thing (unless you know the strain)So from seed is the best!I'm not looking for out sourcing my crop just a personal thing! Its the gift that keeps on giving!

The stuff off the streets just gets you high & never stoned!!!! So better to supply your selves with the GOODS!
If you compare whats on the streets now to what was there back in the 80s there is a big differance!

I enjoy alternative 80s music & I've been ccollecting for 7 years so if anyone has a "Can't find" for a song let me know!

Hi Folks,
I'm 51, have an OMMP card, had a grower but need a new one. I'm hoping to grow my own outdoor next summer if I can find a person with land that's actually honest. My desire for joining is to learn as much as I can from experienced growers and to make new friends.
I have my OMMP card because of a lifetime of chronic pain from Fibromyalgia. Ganja helps...especially when cooked and eaten.

Have a wonderful day.........no matter what!

my names Owen and i work for the CBC in Victoria BC, (a medical cannabis dispensary) as well as advocate for cannabis via the hempology society with my graphic design licks

we've got a regularly updated website and forums for our members and the public to keep updated on the relative news and to provide all of the knowledge & experience we've honed to the 2500 members and related community

we host 9 annual cannabis events in Victoria and are in our 4th year providing free lectures at the university of Victoria

i'd love for hempology to be added to your website link list

International Hempology 101 Society (http://www.hempology.ca)

we have a youtube account that hosts all of our lectures and related hempology event videos

see YouTube - Hempology101's Channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/hempology101)

I make products for the dispensary and was turned here by a thread about glycerine tinctures

i'm interested in learning about the alternative delivery methods people are trying and perhaps find some recipes

Want to build LED Light

Hello all. This is my first post and im excited to be here! This specific forum is the reason I joined! I am looking to build a small LED system basically for fun. My grander idea is to start work on a community based LED growlight project where all knowledge is shared and the results benefit others.

I have a decent electronic build experience but have not designed circuits or PCB's. I eventually would like to build a few prototypes and give them to interested people at cost for some cool testing.

Currently other then basic design I having issues sourcing the right LEDs. From what I have read the main wavelengths needed for photosynthesis are 430nm, 453mn, 642nm and 662nm. I am having a hard time finding decent high powered LEDs that are somewhat affordable. So far the Norlux 90 Die Hex 660nm seems like a good contender for the Red spectrum but they are expensive.

I have also read the following article that outlines designs with the Norlux RGB arrays. http://www.biomedcentral.com/content/pdf/1471-2229-5-17.pdf

I am going to do some deep reading of this forum and look forward to learning more but I just want to make myself known and get the ball rolling.

Nice to meet you all :)

Im a new grower, Can I hope for 15 Ounces per plant? That would be great! I just got my marijuana license in northen California, USA. I havent even began building my grow room yet, Would like to know if you have any recommendations for a grow setup. I'm aloud 19 plants in a 100 square foot room, indoors only. I most likely will be doing a co-op grow and grow for my best-friend as well, so double. I could only dream of bringing in 15 ounces per plant, do I have a shot? Should I grow with the square wire ScrOG (short for Screen Of Green) Technique? Any input would be great. Thank you.

Right now I have 2 2700K 42W bulbs, 2 6500K 42W bulbs and 2 6500K 85W bulbs but once HD gets 2 more heavy duty sockets I'll be able to add 2 more 2700K's.

Hello, i have finally decided to build myself a little grow room. I have absolutely no experience but i am finding lots of useful information. I am going to build a room about 5ft high by 4ft wide and 4ft deep. I am trying to decifer some of the abv on the web site. Is there somewhere in the forum that explains what they might stand for.

I have no doubt that i will be asking lots of questions in the future as i start my newest adventure and hope to have lots of great stories to share.

Whats up all! New member here, intermediate grower with a new project in a 4x5 closet. Exhaust goes through ceiling and rests on outdoor vent. Intake comes from air in attic space; thinking I want a carbon filter for intake. I am using a 400 cfm rated carb filter as a scrubber and will have seperate room exhaust. My exhaust fan is rated around 700cfm; should I put that on a timer so not to overpower the 400? I am flowering with a 600 digi hps, veg with 400 digi mh and using T5 for cuttings. I was able to get a portable a/c unit, and will use ocean forest as my medium.. I hope to post progress pics and am anxious to learn and share with all here. Very happy to be here

Currently running Power Plant (anchor strain) Sensi Star, White Rhino, Hash Plant, Big Buddha Cheese, and a cross of the Power Plant/ Columbian Red Haze (a happy accident ).
I run a perpetual system, and am organic in soil (actually pro mix bx soil-less mix).
Looking forward to continued learning, and maybe throw out an opinion here & there.

My name's Jedijef. I like soft ice cream and when the radio plays a song I like. You can call me taciturn, you can call me a curmudgeon, you can call me whatever you like so long as you don't expect a reply.

Cheers,
