Nose Itch and Dark Soot from the nasal passages

I know, strange subject but am I alone?

After a session with the bong and_ blowing out the smoke through my nose_ I was never aware of the soot that smoking causes.

Anyone else have this happen with the itchy nose and dark soot from the nasal passages? :frown:

Thanks

Big AMA win!!

Our American Medical Association (AMA) urges that marijuana’s status as a federal Schedule I controlled substance be reviewed with the goal of facilitating the conduct of clinical research and development of cannabinoid-based medicines. This should not be viewed as an endorsement of state-based medical cannabis programs, the legalization of marijuana, or that scientific evidence on the therapeutic use of cannabis meets the current standards for a prescription drug product.
Parse the English in that statement at your own peril.
The full report on which the CSAPH statement is based has not been made available online, but an executive summary (ZIP) has been published. That summary concludes:
Results of short term controlled trials indicate that smoked cannabis reduces neuropathic pain, improves appetite and caloric intake especially in patients with reduced muscle mass, and may relieve spasticity and pain in patients with multiple sclerosis. However, the patchwork of state-based systems that have been established for "medical marijuana" is woefully inadequate in establishing even rudimentary safeguards that normally would be applied to the appropriate clinical use of psychoactive substances. The future of cannabinoid-based medicine lies in the rapidly evolving field of botanical drug substance development, as well as the design of molecules that target various aspects of the endocannabinoid system. To the extent that rescheduling marijuana out of Schedule I will benefit this effort, such a move can be supported.
Last year, the American College of Physicians, a large organization representing internal medicine doctors, came out with a similar statement. With the AMA now endorsing the medical potentialof marijuana, the federal government is going to find it increasingly difficult to support its claims that "[t]he DEA and the federal government are not alone in viewing smoked marijuana as having no documented medical value." Increasingly, the federal government really is alone in that claim.
Perhaps recognizing the changing scientific climate, last month, the Obama administration instructed federal prosecutors to de-emphasize the prosecution of people who comply with state medical marijuana laws.
Even if the new AMA position becomes the law of the land, however, it would do little more than ease research into marijuana and, perhaps, move marijuana into the long list of substances available only by prescription. That falls far short of recognizing people's right to ingest whatever they wish, whether for medical reasons or recreational purposes. Fully ending legal restrictions on marijuana (and other drugs) is necessary to end the carnage and civil liberties violations associated with the ever-escalating "war on drugs."

Hello wonderful people.

I am fairly new, but I have really enjoyed my time at this forum so far. I suffer from bouts of severe anxiety and depression. My doctor told me that the best thing would be to smoke a moderate amount of marijuana to help with the really debilitating issues. Unfortunately, I live in a state where medical marijuana is not an option. As a result, he prescribed a cocktail of other drugs (something is really wrong with this in my opinion).

Anyway, I have gotten some from friends, but the type and quality is inconsistent at best. As a result, I am preparing a grow for my own use. My question to the fine people here is, what strains have people found to be good for (1) indoor grow and (2) symptoms a depression and anxiety? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Peace.

so i was uber baked (what's new right?) yesterday and i was thinking about making some brownies, then it hit me...

no secret that thc and all the sticky goodness is oil soluble...

so i trimmed up a few buds and got my hands all sticky, then dumped about 1tbsp or so of veg oil on my hands and worked it in for about 10-15 seconds, then washed that off with some dish soap..

voila! -- 90% of the sticky was gone off my hands that fast..

super cheap, really easy, and works way better than iso alcohol!

CannibisCures.org - Old Idea, New Commitment

*VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!*

I'm considering reviving an old project. Here is the general idea:

We now know, without a doubt, that cannabis is a safe and highly effective medicine. We know that an extract of cannabis (hemp oil), ingested orally, is especially effective. We know it. But, how many people on the street have a clue?

As human beings, it is our duty to do everything we can to spread the news about this simple extract and also inform and educate people about the ECS (endocannabinoid system). As a skilled web-developer, I am especially obligated, I think, and I've let my personal feelings get in the way of that.

So, upon reflection, and in view of developments, I've decided to right that wrong, if possible.

I own the following domains:

cannabiscures.org
cancerandcannabis.com
cannabisandcancer.com

I'm inclined to start with cannabiscures.org - here's what I have in mind:

A. This will be an informational website, only. There will be no community component - no forums. We will organize the most compelling evidence and present it in a way that convinces people to, at least, open their minds to the possibility that there just might be something to this, after all.

B. The site will target people who have never heard that cannabis can truly heal. We spend too much time preaching to the choir. We need to reach people who don't have the first clue about it. That should be the goal.

C. The site will work in tandem with the GP forums. Links to the medical section here, and even to specific threads, will be used to guide users to more info and discussion.

D. My hope is that we can organize on the forums, print up flyers and literature, and organize demonstrations on the local level next year, in the warm months. We can also try to get up an advertising budget and use the same media tricks they use to make our point.

----------------------------

Obviously, such a project will require many helping hands and a lot of input from the community. It can't be a one-man-show and I don't wanna promote myself as some sort of guru. This will be a team, not a cult of personality. We have quite enough of those around. There's no need for another. Also, I don't want to do it forever. I wanna wind it up and watch it go, not babysit it for five years.

So, if people are interested in helping put something like this together, please post here and let's do this thing!

So as my name suggests, I am totally clueless on this topic. I found the site while searching for alternative cancer treatments for a friend w/stage IV lymphoma (original unknown) with muliple mets, most recent in the brain. So situation not good. I figured while I was here, I'd try to learn something since I've heard it's good for pain and I have chronic pain - neck, head, back. I, unfortunately, live in the middle of cluelessville USA where medical :pot leaf: is definitely not yet legal.

I don't use :pot leaf: and won't/can't smoke it. I'm very interested in the oil, but would be terrified to try to make it and wouldn't have a way to get buds anyway. So help in that area is appreciated.

I am about as illerate with the dispansary laws as anyone could be right now. I have looked at Washington State laws but can not find/figure out how to open a medicinal marijauna dispansary/ clinic. Could someone please direct me to a web page or help me in any way. I know growers, I know patients that get it medicinaly but would like to know how to open , get the proper liscensing and all the bureaucratic BS to open a dispansary. I am very serious about this and I hope someone could hold my hand and help me walk through this, as a friend , which is what I preceived this web site to be.

Thank You,
Holly

PS
As you can see I am not hiding behind any false or made up names. I am serious about this and wish someone could counsel me.
