So far I am liking Fred Thompson, and if anyone is a "common sense" politician, it would be him. I am sure others have different views, but to me the main goal is to get our guys out of Iraq safely, and to work on the needed social reforms here in the US like medical MJ and other advances in the medical world that can help dying folks.

First, great post, this proves the standpoint of the real professionals on sick-care, and those are the people we should listen to.

now iso, sure it would be more then time for the politics in the states as around the world to act on the demand of the people. and epically pr. bush jr. is unlikely to act that way. for that he proved more then enough that he won't act on up the will of the people, or are the troops home?! besides he is far to funded by the pharma industry. and those can't figure something worth then the legalization of weed, if it is just for medical reasons or in general which would be the best from the point of the people. maybe in 2 years from now we might be luckier on that issue already.
