Whammy,
I just started some seeds on Monday, a total of 12.
Everyone seems to be a bit different, and being a newbie at seed hatching I kinda came up with my own process that works for me. I soak the seeds in tea (just regular tea) in the fridge overnight, then plant in the light soil mix I use in 3" pots.
When I push my finger down to make the seed hole, I pour 1 tbl of pH'd water in, then drop in the seed and cover, then add another tbl of water over the top. Cover with a newpaper and leave about 2' from the T-5's (for warmth).
As soon as they poke their little heads out I move them from that tray to the bench, about 3' (thats feet) under the T-5's till they get their first set of leaves, then move them closer, but no closer than about 18" (I want them to stretch a bit...I'll show you that later).
So far I have 4 germed and above ground as of this morning, with what looks to be about 6 more ready to push through the top soil.
