once we used common sense and compassion - it worked well for us and didn't cost a fortune. Now we act without real compassion nor common sense but under the influence of P.C. (a fraudulent "moral" code that reduces free speech) we deteriorate to sheeple that can make no further decisions on our own without gov employees, so bureaucrats - we ask those for help that slow us to a stand still in the first place and expect that their advise will help us - ridiculous!

never the less, a slightly lighter use of the belt might not be a too bad thing, at time it been a bit excessive back in the days. Just being able to spend more time with your kids thru the week will already improve things i think. back in my childhood days there was always someone home, either my granny or my mom that took care that i would do my homework and jobs before wandering off or heading over to friends.
