I use fish tank stone for ebb and flow. I always fear telling people because they tell me I'm doing it wrong, and should get the expanded clay, but I have had really good success with it so far. not sure if it's cheaper, but it is a lot easier to go to walmart and pick up fish tank stone then it is to go to a grow shop. I flood once an hour for just long enough to fill then drain the table. 4 minutes to fill, 4 to drain. |
