Default >Trouble with the bought carbon filter

Well Green got himself a carbon filter as i wanted to try what a bought 60 bucks filter can do compared to my home made ones but now i'm sitting here confused with the filter part and a separate flange piece that isn't fixed to the filter yet - and now is the big question on how to fix this thing...

Any ideas anyone? thought of crazy glue first, but dropped the idea due to all the fine carbon dust on the metal parts.
